Chapter 3

I hear a scream

I Immediately jump up and sprint towards the kitchen. I don't understand what could be wrong!  Is she hurt? I begin to think the worst. 

I make the turn into the kitchen and see (f/n) with her hands over her mouth, crying.  In the doorway, is a large man.  I don't hesitate and i run right at him and jump.

YOUR POV

I scream.  My older brother, Derek, walks through the doorway.  I can't believe it!  I never expected him to come home so soon!  I throw my hands up to my face and I start crying.  I missed him so much, it's been so long since he went overseas.  I can't help but stare in disbelief.  I am just about to go and hug him, untilJack jumps on my brother.

"JACK!" I yell. What is he doing?!

"Go and run!" He yells pulling at my brothers ears.  It wasn't long until Derek reached up to Jacks shoulders, him being now on his back, and flipped him ver his head and pinned Jack on the floor with Dereks knees keeping Jacks arms down.  Derek just glares at Jack, obviously making him uncomfortable.

"Oh my god." That was all I could say.  During all of this, I just stand there watching.  It hit me, Jack just tried to protect me.  Even if it is my brother, he still tried.  Didn't we just meet, literally, 10 minutes ago?

"(f/n), who is this?" Derek asks, never taking his eyes off of Jack.  Come to think of it, I don't think he blinked yet.

"Uhm, that's Jack."

"(f/n), he just attacked me?"

"He doesn't know who you are, he thought you were going to hurt me." I hoped tht was Jack's true intentions.  I couldn't help but feel there's a bigger picture here.  I just can't place what.

Derek jumps off of Jack, but doesn't help him up. Wait, he can see Jack?  HE CAN SEE HIM! I get so happy!  I start to giggle uncontrollably.  They both turn to give me funny looks.

"What's your deal?"Jack asks, kind of pissed off.

I look over at Derek, "You believe in Jack Frost." I couldn't help but smirk.

Immediately, Dereks face got beet red.  He looked away, "No I don't!"  Jack caught on because I caught him grinning ear to ear in my periphial vision.

JACKS POV

I couldn't believe (f/n) called him out.  It took al of my strength not to burst out laughing.  All I do is cross my arms, waiting for whats about to happen next.  I'm a little upset I didn't realize before that he could see me, because the look on his face when I was running towards him was priceless!  But other than that, I am a little upset that (f/n) caught it before me, I'm so used to be 3 steps ahead of everyone, noone's been that clever.  I look over at her ad we both start smiling.  I stop, I don't feel so cold anymore.  It'slose to that feeling of when I when I woke up after passing out on her roof.  Huh, funny.

"Jack? Are you listening?" My thought is broken when i realize (f/n) is gripping my shoulders. She looks really scared.  I snap out of it.

"What's wrong?" I ask looking into her eyes.

"What's wrong?! Jack, can't you feel my house shaking?!" She yelled, I didn't realize what was going on around me.  The house is shaking violently.  The lamp fall off he counters and table tops and crash.  Books are flying out of the bookcases.

"UGH (f/n) COME ON!" Derek grabs her arm and starts pulling her away through the back door.  She reaches out for me, but I'm stuck in my place.  What's wrong with me? Im usually much more quicker than this.  None the less, I grab my staff and follow them through the door.  I see them a few yards ahead of me, starig at the house. 

I catch up to their standing spot.  Their eyes are wide and mouths are gaping open.  Confused, I turn around to look towards the house.  If there was one. Right where to house stood is gone.  Vanished. 

"What the hell?" I hear Derek mutter.

I slowly walk over to where the house once stood.  It looks as if nothing has ever been set there.  There was inches of snow where the house once stood.  I was about to turnand walk back to them, without answers, until something caught my eye.

ugh. I'm sorry! Hopefully I'm starting to make it up to you guys! Or maybe I was, until the cliffhanger.  BUT DON'T WORRY! I'll definitely update tomorrow, or if you're lucky, maybe tonight!
