CHAPTER 18: THE PARENTS ARE HOME!

Grey's POV:

"Sir, hindi niyo daw po sinasagot yung tawag ng Mom niyo" narinig kong sabi nung isa naming butler dito sa bahay.

Ugh. Kagabi pa tawag ng tawag sakin si Mom, what does she need anyways? I perfectly fine here. No need to ask, besides they don't even care about me.

"My phone is on silent. And I'm kinda busy these days" sagot ko.

Nandito ako ngayon sa kusina, kumakain ng almusal. Maaga ako nagising dahil sa semis namin. It's just 5:45 am.

"Sir, your father is on the phone. He says he needs to talk" narinig kong sabi ni Lolo Charlie, ang aming lolo butler. He's my second grandfather here in the house, since my lolo passed away. He is also my grandfather's best friend.

He treats me like his grandson and he's incharged of all the house properties.

"No thanks, I'm fine" sabi ko at humigop ng hot choco.

"You're really stubborn, Sir. But if that's your order. I said that you're busy" sagot ni Lolo Charlie.

"It's normal, Lolo Charlie. Thank you for the complement"

Umakyat ako at pumunta sa kwarto. I packed all of my things and headed outside.

"I'm going" sabi ko at lumabas ng bahay.

"Good luck on your semis, Sir" sabi ni Lolo Charlie.

"I'll do my best" sabi ko at pinaandar yung kotse ko.

I arrived at the school at dumiretso sa gym kung saan gaganapin ang semis mamaya.

"Pre! Ang aga mo ah!!" narinig kong sigaw ni Drake. Kasama si Casey.

"Seriously? Pati ba naman dito magkadikit parin kayo?" sabi ko.

"Yeah, that's part of being a couple bro. Mind your own business" sabi ni Jonathan.

"Okay! Let's have a practice first guys!" sabi ni Coach Kim.

"Coach! Sino makakalaban natin ngayon?" tanong ko.

"The same as SJH. Senior Knights Academy"

Oh, the rival school of Sevit High. Sila din pala ang makakalaban namin. I heard that they cheat sometimes.

"They suck you know" narinig kong sabi ni PJ.

Tinignan ko yung buong gym. May nakita akong mga taga-Knights Academy. At yung iba taga-Sevit.

Parang may kulang, nasan si Sabrina?
I thought she's gonna come to watch the game?

"Casey! Nasaan si Sabrina?" tanong ko. She just gave me a questioning look.

"Hindi ko alam eh. Teka itetext ko" sagot niya at kinuha yung phone niya sa bag.

Ilang oras na din ang nakalipas. Magsisimula na yung game. And she's not here. Where is she?

"I see that your waiting for someone, Grey. You need to focus" narinig kong sabi ni Coach.

Am I that really obvious?

"Okay! Let's start the semis. Welcome everyone! Today's schools are Senior Knights Basketball Team and Senior Sevit High Basketball Team! Please welcome the team players!"
