Running across the park and through the woods, I bent over gasping for air. After entering the woods I didn't hear him following me. He had been before.

Surveying the area, I began heading back. Maybe he stopped for a breath? I thought. Yeah, maybe he did.

Exiting the woods, I reached the park. I looked around but couldn't spot him anywhere. "Kyle?" I called, but there was no answer. A vampire could've got him. Worried, I hurried calling for him. "Kyle?!" I called again.

An unknown source pounced on top of me, me and the thing fell to the ground. Looking up I seen Kyle. "Kyle!" I squealed and hugged him. At least he was safe.

Kyle pushed me away and smirked. "I didn't know you wanted me this much, Kate~" Glaring, I replied "I just thought something happened to you." He was still on top of me as well.

Smirking, Kyle looked down at me evilly. "What?" I asked confused. "I caught you" Kyle said rather with a hint of lust. My eyes darted to both sides of me, left and right. I tried looking for a way out, but found none. I stared up at him, I wasn't scared. I was simply curious as to what he'd do.

He leaned down to my ear, his hot breath hitting my neck. I shivered beneath him. "Rawr" He whispered into my ear and pulled away. Confused, I was going to ask what. Before I could he started to tickle me.

I laughed or rather giggled the whole time. "S-Stop...p-please..." I begged between trying to gain some kind of control over my breathing.

Smiling in victory, Kyle stood up and offered me a hand. Being stubborn, I got up myself. Kyle huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. "Why can't you accept my kindness?" He asked rather sad. Shifting from one foot to another I sighed. "I can do things myself..." I rubbed the back of my neck, his gaze penetrated me to the spot. Meeting his eyes I stood confidently. "I'm not a baby. I can take care of myself." Kyle rolled his eyes not buying one second of it. "It's getting late. We should start heading back" He said and starting walking in the direction of our houses.

I sighed and followed behind him. I'm sorry, Kyle. I said in my head. I couldn't say it out loud. I didn't have the energy or guts too. Friends betray you. I had to learn the hard way.

We went our separate ways once we got to our street. Sighing, I stepped into my house. I wish my mom wouldn't always work so late, it gets lonely around here.

I walked up to my room. I didn't bother closing the door because nobody else was in here. I decided to watch some YouTube videos for the day.
~2 hours Later~
It's been two hours. My mom called me an hour ago saying she'd be home soon. She wanted to discuss some things and celebrate. I'm not sure what we'd be celebrating.

I heard my mom's car pull in. I shut my laptop and hurried downstairs. My mom opened the door and I gave her a big hug. "Mom! You're home!" I squealed as I hugged her. My mom laughed and hugged me back. "Come now, Kate. I have great news." Confused, I went to the living room and sat on the couch. My mom followed behind me and sat beside me. "What is it mom?" I asked rather worried. I didn't know what got my mom so happy. "Kate. I'm going to work shifts during night so I can see you more during the day." My mom said while staring at me rather nervous. "That's great!" I smiled. Now she can be here longer! At least the house won't be so empty...

My mom was downstairs taking a nap. It was 12 am. I went to my room and shut the door. Walking over to my window, I looked out. I seen Kyle pacing around his room. What's he doing? I hid behind my curtain in case he'd seen me. I peaked through a spot of my curtain that was ripped. I need to get new curtains.

Kyle sat down at his desk chair. He put his right hand on his face, he dragged that hand down. He looked tired and worried. I wonder what's wrong...

Kyle started nibbling his hand when suddenly a line of blood dropped down. What the fuck? I frowned my brows. Only vampires can draw blood when piercing flesh. Maybe he just bit his hand hard. Shaking my head, I crawled onto my bed. I guess I'm imagining things. Probably from lack of sleep. Closing my eyes, I thought of one last things before falling into unconsciousness.

Kyle couldn't be a vampire.
