Chapter 3: Scott POV: "So are you like a cowboy or something?" The girl sitting beside me asked. "No. Why would you ask that?" "You're wearing cowboy boots, so I just assumed." "You know, not every guy that wears boots is a cowboy." I said and she smiled. "Well, let's just pretend you are a cowboy. I've always had this fantasy of meeting a real cowboy. I've never been anywhere south of Chicago, so I've never met one." She said. I could tell she was trying to flirt with me. Should I flirt back? Oh what the hell! I might as well give it a shot. I've already lost everything, so I have nothing to lose. "Then I guess if you want, I could be your cowboy." I said. She flashed me a flirty smile. The bartender came over and interupted us. "There is a bunch of traffic tonight, so the cab driver won't be here for another hour or so." He said. "Wonderful." I said sarcasticly. "I'm about to close down the bar, is there someone I can call to come get you?" "No, I'll just wait outside for the cab." I said. "How about I take you home?" The girl said. "That'd be great actually." I said. I paid for my last round of drinks then we walked out to her car.
