Yes, I feel it sometimes.
Does it ever tear you apart?
Tear me apart? No. The void doesn't tear. It never tears.
If it doesn't tear, what does it do?
Close your eyes.
Eyes caught in the middle of a session
The water slips through your hands
While you're desperately grasping for a piece
It doesn't have to be big
It doesn't have to fill me full
I just need one that satisfies me
But the sun bursts through the clouds
And your eye misses the catch
The one that you wished and craved for
Dreams become farther and farther
Shooting stars pass me for the next session
With the next person
Who is exactly like me
Maybe what the books said weren't true
The clouds have gone
And the sunlight twirls on my skin
Let me feel the heat
Give me everything my sole
Anything but empty.
