Chapter 6: Nightmares (Part 1)

In the last chap.

"Oh, (Y/N) are you joining this club?" You heard him questioned.

Your face showed shockness, 'Wait, does he know??!' You thought frantically.

You heard him snickered a bit, maybe because seeing your surprised look about him knowing.

"It's okay, Kiyoko told me to wait for you here. She said she will be coming a little bit late," he said.

He opened the door for you and you saw something you did not want to ever see again in your life.

Volleyball.

(Y/N POV)
I stood there, not moving from my spot. My mind are full of flashbacks and memories that I wish I never will see again.

A little bit of flashback~

I sat down at the bench at a park. I still remember every afternoon after school I always went to this park near our house with my brother. I was watching my brother practicing his passing, since Ayato actually played as setter in his team.

"Nii-san, when will you finish practicing?" The 6 years old me complained.

"Well, maybe a little bit after this," He looked at me and asked, "Do you want try volleyball?"

"Volleyball is soooooo boring..."

"Well, you never know it you haven't try it," He passed the ball to me and I clumsily caught it.

He smiled and he waved his hand to me, signaling that I should come to him. I stood up from my sit, the volleyball still in my grasp and walked to my brother.

"So, first I'll teach you how to pass the ball, k?" I nodded and my brother showed me how the hands should be like. And volleyball positions as well.

We looked at each other, he grinned at me and I grinned back.

That's when I started to like volleyball.

Flashback ended~

I felt my vision started to blur, feeling tears starting to form at the corner of my eyelids.

"Wait, you play volleyball?" I asked, my (h/c) bangs covered my (e/c) eyes.

"Y-yeah, and I played as a setter except...." He trailed off, "I won't play as much anymore since there's another first year player who's better at it."

(Sugawara's POV)

We just stood there, having a pause for a few minutes, until someone came and saw us standing inside near the door.

"Oooh! Sugawara-senpai, who's this??" Hinata exclaimed, observing the beautiful (h/c) girl.

"U-um... This is (Y/N) just a friend of mine," I smiled and continued, "She'll be joining us for today."

"Woi! Dumbass come back here, don't go over someone's privacy!!" Kageyama shouted at the orange-haired boy.

Hinata flinched for a second, then he answered, "H-hai..." and goes to Kageyama to continue practice.

(Third Person's POV/Author POV)

You stood there, not saying a word. And listened to their conversation, as well staying quiet trying to process what had happened. The hyper boy reminded you of someone, a friend of your brother's. But you just shook it off. Then you remembered this is a volleyball club, and you're supposed to joined the club. Well, now you don't want to, so you tiptoed and walked backwards trying to reach the door.

You looked at Sugawara, still talking to the hyper boy, which you heard his name is 'Hinata'. You hurriedly and slipped inside the door. Running away from the gym, you saw Kiyoko in the distance. You tried to avoid Kiyoko, but unfortunately she saw you. When Kiyoko tried to approached you, you kept on running away, ignoring her. And you felt something trailed on your cheek.

Tears.

You just don't want to come back to that place anymore, which holds so much painful memories. You grabbed your (f/c) bike, and pedaled it as fast you can, trying to forget of what you saw.

(Back to Sugawara's POV)

After I finished talking to Hinata and just realized that (Y/N) is gone from the spot where she should be. I wondered, looking around the gym only to see volleyball players. I rushed, opening the door and ran outside. Only to see (Y/N) has grabbed her bike and pedaled it as fast as she could to the streets.

'Dang it!' I thought, clenching my hand into a fist. 'Why didn't realized about her going?'

"Hey, Sugawara what happened to (Y/N)?? You didn't do anything right?" Kiyoko asked, approaching me.

"No, I didn't, I just, I don't know," I panicked, "The last thing I did was talking with Hinata and a lot of a sudden she's gone!"

Kiyoko sighed and afterwards she said, "Maybe tomorrow we can ask her." She looked at her watch, "We have to go now, or else we'll be late."

The only thing I could do is nodded and followed her to the gym.
