Thunder heard the crashing of undergrowth and the raven perked up. Then Stripe came zooming towards him, leaping into his arms. The sound of the violin grew closer and closer - then stopped completely.
And Storm stepped out of the brush, her violin in hand, breathing hard. The raven squawked and flew to her, landing on her shoulder. Thunder slowly put down his silver instrument and Storm did the same. They stared at each other in shock.
Then they were both running toward each other. Thunder hugged her close and cried. For once, he wasn't afraid to show emotion. There was no one else there, and even if there had been he wouldn't have cared. They were together again, and that was all that mattered.
