Semifinals! 1/2(Chapter 16)

Today the semifinals will take place. You woke up and waked Gou, both of you prepared and then went to call the boys and Amakata-sensei, they were also ready.

-Okay, let's review the timetable...-Gou said.- What?!

-Are you okay, Kou?-Makoto asked her.-

-Yeah... Well, you see, again you all go in the same series as the boys in Samezuka, I'm sure they have improved.-Gou answered, visibly worried.-

-Don't worry, Gou-chan! We also improved.-Nagisa comforted.-

-I told you I'm KOU! And you, (Y/n)-chan, today you will compete against the faster preparatory swimmer in most of your races, her name is Oumae Kiyora, and she also swims all styles like you.-Gou added.-

-Oh... So I also have hard opponents... Anyways, the individuals are in the noon, aren't they? Who do we go against in the mixed relays?-You asked.-

-This is probably even worst... As the relays are mixed and they can participare male teams, female teams or mixed, you'll go in the same serie than Samezuka and also against Oumare's team, Seika. You'll have Seika in the lane at your right, and Samezuka at you left.

-Whaaaat?!?!-You all exclaimed.-

-What you heard guys, what you heard. Now, go training and don't waste your time! You don't have a lot, you know?!-Gou said as you all ran to the second pool, except Rei. You only did one round, when the megaphone said you needed to go to the pricipal pool.-

-Now the only thing we can do is do our best...-Nagisa said, leaving a sigh.-

-The race will start. Swimmers, please go to your positions.-The megaphones said.-

-GO; IWATOBI!!!!!-Rei, Amakata-sensei, Gou and Coach Sasabe shouted from te steps.-

Makoto entered the water and the ref gave the signal. All the swimmers jumped.

-Ike, ike ike ike ike Makoto! Ose, ose ose ose ose Makoto!-You and the rest of the team shouted.-

-Wow, those girls are good. In which style will Oumae compete?-You asked.-

-In butterfly, against you.-Haru answered.-

-Mako-chan is second! He passed Momo-chan!-Nagisa exclaimed while he got ready to jump.-

-Keep that second position, Nagisa!-You shouted him and he jumped.-

-You did really well, Makoto!-You said him.-

-Thanks, (Y/n)-chan.

-Ike, ike ike ike ike Nagisa! Ose, ose ose ose ose Nagisa!-All the team cheered.-

-He's doing really well, he is shoulder with shoulder with the breaststroke swimmer of Seika.-Makoto commented. You positioned because it was your turn. You were very nervous. As if Rei could read your mind, he shouted from the steps:

-(Y/N), DON'T BE NERVOUS! YOU'RE GOING TO DO REALLY WELL!

As you imagined, that calmed you a lot. Probably without those words you swam worst than you did. Nagisa arrived and you jumped. You were against Souske and Oumae. You swam as fast as your teenager body allowed you to. You saw you passed them both, but they were near you, you couldn't relax. You arrived to the end in first place and saw Haru jump.

-Haru!-You shouted.-
