A/N Thanks so much for 40K, never did I expect that! Laura wrote the last two chapters, which is why they were so good, so I'm (Lilly) writing this one :)

He looks so hot in that picture!

I reluctantly pushed open the door of Costa, scanning the room for Laura.

My eyes met hers and I let out an internal sigh of relief, because I didn't have to sit and wait by myself.

"Hey," I smiled politely as I pulled my chair out, "how are you?"

She handed me my black coffee, I smiled and thanked her.

"So" I breathed, wondering where to start.

I was focusing on my hands when I heard a small laugh, making me look up.

Laura was laughing.

"I'm laughing because this is ridiculous Ava," she spoke, reading my expression.

"How is it?"

"Who even are you anymore?" She spat

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, locking eye contact.

"Last thing I know you're nearly getting excluded from school, hooking up with God knows how many boys"

"Simon," I muttered "only Simon"

She threw her hands up in the air with annoyance.

"He was so horrible to you? But oh, it's all okay now, he took me on a fancy holiday and is a really great kisser!" She said sarcastically, mocking me.

"You do have a point," I said smiling, "he's a really good kisser!" I smiled, getting angry with how she was speaking to me.

"Thanks for taking this seriously," she muttered.

"I've done nothing wrong!"

"Ava, since when did we meet at coffee shops? Never. We were best friends, always together, being happy and not letting stupid boys get in the way. What happened?"

"I don't need this" I said, standing up.

"You know what?" She said, standing up and catching a few people's attention, "fuck you"

My back was facing her, but her words made me wince. If Laura had an opinion she would make sure you know it, mentally and physically.

I thought about saying something back, but I didn't want to cause a scene. So I walked away.

"Hey," Simon said, hugging me as I arrived home, "how was it?"

"Not good" I sighed.

"Oh, is it okay if I can go upstairs and finish the gta recording? We can talk after if you like?"

"Don't worry about it," I lied, wanting him to worry and make me feel better.

Simon went back upstairs and dragged my feet into the kitchen.

I got some water and sat on the counter, placing my head in my hands.
