I scratch another line into the stone wall. My 15th Birthday is today, which means tomorrow is my 5th year being trapped in this hell hole. "Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me, Mother will soon pay, for framing me." I sing to myself.

"Yeah, yeah, Ariana. Here, I got you a chocolate cake this time. Hope you enjoy." Sally says. She has been my only friend for these past 5 years. Unfortunately she is also my guard, so I have to put up with her talking about how this is all my fault. No one believes that I was telling the truth in court. But I am determined to prove them wrong, they will see the truth, One day. Hopefully that day is soon, it should be since I have been secretly planning my escape.

"Ariana? Hey, are you ok? Ariana?" Oh, I must have zoned out, it been happening more and more.

"Sorry, I must have zoned out again."

"Oh right. Thinking about revenge on your Mother, huh. You've got to get that crazy idea out of your head. It's only going to make you crazy and upset. I have said it before and I will say it again, if you don't stop thinking about silly things like that, I will have to send you to the counsellor again. And I know how much you despise Marie." Sally shakes her head and gives me a disappointed look.

"Of course I despise her! She does the most stupid, ignorant person I have ever met! You know who she reminds me of? Dolores Umbridge! Yep, the mean, cruel lady from Harry Potter!" I am almost screaming. I case you are wondering when I had time to read The Harry Potter series, turns out even high security prisons encourage reading.

"Thats a bit of an exaggeration don't you think Ariana?" I can barely understand what Sally is trying to say because of all her laughing. But I get the gist of it, and I am not impressed.

"Yes, Sally. I apologise." I say sarcastically. Sally just shakes her head and walks away, leaving me to my own thoughts, and cake. The cake is good, best one yet.

I walk up to the metal bars at the front of my cell, or cage as I like to call it. No one is near, I don't have very long until the cops patrol here, so I get out my hidden tools. I try to work as quietly as I can while still being able to hear the footsteps that are nearing. The patrol guard is standing right in front of me, luckily I was able to hide my tools quickly.

"Why do look like you're hiding something?" The cop asks, cocking his head slightly.

"Because here we all have something to hide." I try to sound as calm as possible, which I seem to be getting better at considering I haven't been caught yet.

"Very profound Arianna. Thats why you are my favourite." Ugh, he is revolting. Unfortunately I won't be here the day he is finally fired.

It is finally night fall, which means the patrol won't be patrolling for another 3 hours at least. That means I have 3 hours to finish my escape route and get out of here. So here I am, making my way out of prison. Ugh, this is taking forever, and it has only been a few minutes. But the time is worth it, it will all be worth it when my mother is caught.

I stifle my yell as I almost fall into the pipes. Good, my tunnel is finally ready. I look through the bars of my cell and no patrols in sight. Ouch, there must be a sharp piece of piping because something just cut my side. But that is not going to stop me, I have finally slid into the pipe. It's time to start shimmying through the pipes. I am one step closer to getting revenge on my mother.
