Part 4(Different Ending)

I decided to make a different ending because one of my friends became sad of the other ending. So please read this even if the beginning is exactly smilar!! :D

 

It was time for the wedding. It was finally time for the 19 year old prince Luhan to get married.
Luhan checked one last time in the mirror and smiled nervously. You can do this Luhan. You have to. There is no turning back now. Zhang Li is the love of your life, not Mei. Mei is just a friend, nothing more, nothing less.
 “Son, are you ready?” his dad asked. Luhan turned around to face his father and nodded.
The prince and the king walked to the altar on the boat and waited for the bride to show up. It was quiet, but it was nice.
Luhan takes a deep breath and looks at Mei who was sitting far away in the corner. She looks up and saw him looking at her, and both of them looks away.

Then it starts. The minute everyone has been waiting for. The music starts to play and then she walks in with a beautiful white dress. Luhan looks at Zhang Li and smiles at her, she smiles back.
When she arrives at the altar the music stops and the priest starts talking about things that Luhan doesn’t care about.
 “Luhan and Zhang Li please take each other’s hands and look in to each other’s eyes” he says and they do as the priest says. “Now Luhan; will you take Zhang Li to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?” he priest says and looks at Luhan.
He takes a deep breath and look at Zhang Li once again. But then something else happens in front of his eyes. Luhan gets a flashback from the day when he almost drowned. He sees a girl sitting on a rock, she has red hair down to her waist, and she looks at Luhan.
When the thunder hits the boat and Luhan falls in to the water he sees the girl jump in to the water after him, before Luhan faints he sees her face, Mei.

Luhan let’s go of Zhang Li’s hands and everyone looks shocked at him.
 “I can’t do this Zhang Li. I’m sorry but I can’t marry you. You’re not the love of my life” Luhan says quietly and looks at her. He can see that the girl is going to cry soon.
 “I see… but please tell me who is the lucky girl that you are going to marry?” Zhang Li asks.
Luhan sighs and turns around and faces Mei who is already looking at him. Luhan starts to walk towards her.
 “Everyone… this is the real girl that saved me from drowning. I don’t know how she did it but I’m very thankful” he says and looks at his parents and then looks at Mei again. “Mei… I know you can’t talk but even I will never hear your voice I will forever love you so I’m asking you now… will you love me back and have the honor to be my wife?” Luhan asks her.
Mei is stunned. She can’t believe that this is happening. Mei starts crying and smiles at Luhan. She nods as a yes and everyone starts to clap their hands. Luhan smiles and kisses Mei on the lips.

Mei feels something inside of her and backs away from Luhan. She starts to cough and Luhan places a hand on her back. Luhan takes her inside of his room and looks worried, he gives her a glass of water and after awhile Mei stops coughing.
 “Mei are you alright?” Luhan asks. Mei looks up at him and smiles.
 “I’m perfectly fine” she answers him. Luhan looks shocked and happy at the same time. He beams and hugs her tightly.
 “Mei you can talk! You can talk!” he says happily. That’s when Mei also notice it
 “Oh my god. I can talk again!” Mei shouts and laugh happily. She has never been this happy in her entire life. She wasn’t going to die anymore! She was going to live happily ever after with Luhan.

Mei and Luhan walks out from the ship cabin after awhile and greet different people that they passed by. Their hands were intertwined and they smiled at each other. They see Zhang Li at the end of the boat with her clothes changed and she’s talking to someone; Yixing. They smile at Luhan and Mei and wave at them.
The two of them walks away from the crowd to get a bit of privacy and looks at the horizon and the sun that is going down. Then suddenly Mei sees something in the water; her dad, sister and Blunder.
 “I’m proud of you my daughter, you’ve grown up. Please don’t forget your life as a mermaid” her father says and Mei nods.
 “How is it that you’re going to marry someone before me? Whatever, have fun with your handsome husband” Jia winks and Mei laughs
 “Ohh I’m going to miss you so much Mei! Don’t forget me! I will come and visit you, okay?” Blunder shouts and Mei smiles at him.
They wave goodbye and return to the ocean. Luhan hugs Mei from behind and whispers in her ear.
 “You have some explaining to do, my little mermaid” Luhan says. Mei smiles and turns around and kisses him on the lips.
 “Don’t worry my dear prince. We have a whole lifetime in front of us”
