This time, they appeared in the middle of a large, flat lawn of grass. Trees surrounded every horizon, and wildflowers dominated the field. Sun beamed down upon them, causing Lucifer to summon up his sunglasses once more and hide his eyes. A soft hissing noise came from Lucifer's body, and in the sun he seemed to smoke. His form tensed at the feeling, and even in his fingertips he could be felt shake. As he tensed, he shut his mouth and showed her a lightly forced smile. "They still don't like me here though... and it shows."

"What's wrong?" she asked when he suddenly hissed, "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" She grabbed his arms to steady him, eyes wide. She felt worry pierce through her heart when she saw such a strong man shake. "Are the angels doing this to you?" she asked, then muttered under her breath, "Doesn't seem very angelic."

Lucifer chuckled and brushed her off of him slowly. "It's... nothing. I just haven't been here in so long, except for the protected area that Raphael made for me. The heavenly aura affects me because I've been banished." He said, speaking slowly through gritted teeth. "I'm glad they even allow me here." He said, chuckling lightly and relaxing. His jaw loosened, but his shoulders still remained stiff.

"It doesn't seem right to make it pain you," she added, not pulling back her arms until she was sure he was okay. She looked up at the taller man with...worry? Pity? She wasn't sure, so instead of worrying about it, she simply tucked it away in her mind for later.

"I agree with you. But because I think it's right doesn't mean they do. In fact, I would argue that it guarantees they don't agree." Lou said, taking a step from her and kneeling down into the grass. He pulled a small white wild-flower and stood back up. "Now, how about those emotions, no?" He asked, holding out the wild-flower for her.

"Yeah," she smiled, a blush lighting up her cheeks though she couldn't place why. She took the flower and tucked it in her hair, its soft white color standing out against her fiery hair, "What do I need to do?"

"Well. How do you feel right now? You seem happier than you were a few minutes ago." Lou said, leaning in a bit and nodding at her decision approvingly. "I could see you looking nice in a white summer dress." He added randomly, sending her another smile and then shrugging.

That caused a definite blush to light up her cheeks, turning them almost as red as her hair. "I-um," she stuttered, unable to look at him or keep a slight smile off of her face, "Thanks, I guess."

"You didn't answer my question. Thanks, is not an emotion. Nor is I-um." He said, looking around the meadow and sighing. There was a wistful sadness in his eyes. It was clear he longed to be here constantly, or even just allowed to be here more often.

"Oh, um," she began, caching the wistful look in his eyes, "I dunno. Maybe...I feel safe around you. And...it's so pretty up here....Maybe this is happiness?"

"You may only be peaceful. Safety and tranquility are the signs of peace." Lucifer explained, picking up another wild-flower. This yellow one he twirled between his fingers lazily. "I'm not very good with happiness: I already explained that." He glanced from the flower to Clarissa. "Are you sure you'd rather stay in my company? The Angels would help you recover much quicker at this point. You would be happier there." He concluded, his eyes falling once more to the flower. At this point, his shoulders and total form began to relax.

"Well...." Clary sighed and folded her hands in front of her, "I want to make an informed decision so you have answer this for me, if you will. Why'd you get kicked out of Celestia? I mean, if I don't like your answer, I can always go to the angels, right?"

"They will accept anyone but me and people who I try and make better." He said sarcastically, but shook his head and quieted back down. "I... It's a long story, but it sums up to this, I guess: Democracy did not, and to my knowledge does not, exist in Celestia. Being the free thinker - the enlightenment of my deity - I called for freedom of ideas and thought." Lucifer's face had begun to heat up, and a flaming rage flew into his eyes. He spoke bitterly and sharply. "My Father didn't like that though, so he turned my family against me and had my closest kin kick me out of the realm." Louey bared his teeth and looked down to the wildflower in his fingers. He breathed and half-growled through his teeth, only to shut his fist around the flower and crush it. After a few moments of heavy breathing, he closed his lips and opened his hand to let the crumpled and slightly burnt flower fall from it.
