The Green-Eyed Monster

I am Daphne Cristine Reyes. Just a simple girl with big dreams.

Chos! Like I said, isa akong simpleng estudyante. But sadly, I only have one and only one dream. It may not be big, but this dream would make my whole life!

Dream ko? Every girl's dream here in our school. At ito ay ang maging future wife ni Abraham Ramirez!

Who's this guy, you may ask? Siya lang naman ang pinaka-pogi at pinaka-popular guy here in school. Not only is he a varsity player, magaling rin siyang mangharana!

"Omygahd! Here he comes!" A girl like me, squealed.

I frantically panic and inayos ang buhok at damit ko. Then I checked my pocket mirror for any stray hair or something.

Malapit na syang dumaan sa harapan ko! Mabilis kong ibinulsa ang mirror and dreamily looked at him while walking.

Wow.. just him walking makes my heart beat faster. With every step he takes, the harder it is to breath.

As he walked past by, I saw him... REALLY! Nakita ko siya! He turned his head at me and WINKED!!

He frickin' winked at me! OMYGAHD!

"Girl! O my gawd! He kindat-kindat at me!!! Did you see that?!" I heard a girl behind me shouted.

"What?! Are you crazy?? He WINKED AT ME!!" Another feelingera said.

Hindi na nakayanan pa ng katabi ko at nakisali na rin. "Back off btches, he winked at me" pa-cool na sabi nya.

I sighed and walked off. Alam ko na ang resulta nyan. No wonder madalas na ang cat fights ngayon sa school.

While walking, I couldn't help but wonder... why did I like him in the first place? Of course, hindi ako kagaya ng iba dyan na nakakita lang ng pogi ay mahal agad.

I have my own reason. And no.. this reason actually made sense. Hindi yung nakabangga mo siya then crush agad. Not like that.

Actually, classmate ko siya dati. When I mean dati, as in sobrang dati! I think I was kindergarten at that time.

He was my frenemy. Isa kasi siyang bully but sometimes, nagkakasundo kami. And something unexpected happened.

Three bitche-- I mean, girls, provoked me in a fight. At syempre, dahil mas marami sila ay pinagtulungan nila ako.

Sinabunutan nila ako and worse, sinampal pa nila!

WHATDAHELL!? Magulang ko nga ni hindi pa ako pinagbubuhatan ng kamay tapos sila sasampalin pa ako?! Ang kapal ng mga mukha nila pramis!

At dahil sobrang bata ko pa noon, I didn't fight back. I don't know how. Hinayaan ko lang silang saktan ako while I sobbed silently.

Suddenly, my knight-in-shining-uniform came. "ITIGIL NIYO YAN!" sigaw niya.

He pushed them all away. He looked at me pitifully while I still sobbed because I was covered with very painful bruises.

Mukhang nagalit siya nun. He turned to face them and he's in rage. "PAG NAKITA KO PA KAYONG SINAKTAN SIYA ULIT, PAPATAYIN KO KAYO! NA-GETS NIYO BA YUN!?" sigaw niya.

Those three girls we're suddenly afraid of him and nodded in response bago nagtatakbong umalis.

Bumalik ang pansin niya sa akin, tears forming in his eyes. "Sorry.." he whispered.
