Roommates

I got an idea for this fic when i read an article or something on the internet about a straight gay falling in love with his gay roommate. Its kinda all over the place and sorry for the mistakes i make here.

Stiles walked balancing multiple boxes with his things on his hand. He was starting college and he was really excited. It was even better that Scott and him got into the same college and that he won't be alone there. But unfortunately they didn't get assigned the same room. Now he had to share the room with a complete stranger. But he was fine with that, he liked making new friends. He just hoped that his roommate wasn't some drug dealer or some shit like that. He tumbled into the room opening the door not before messing with his keys first. He dropped all of his belongings on the floor and flopped down on the bed. He was exhausted and closed his eyes to get some rest.
"Hey! That's my bed. Get off of it." A deep voice came from somewhere. Stiles suddenly jumped of the bed and sighed realizing that it must be his roommate.
"Dude! You scared me!" Stiles said and still hadn't seen his roommate. Stiles turned around and gasped. His roommate was a hot guy. He was fucked because his roommate was a fucking god. Stiles swallowed hard and opened his mouth to speak.
"Hey, I'm stiles." He introduced himself happily and all he got was a scowl.
"Derek." Derek grunted which made stiles curious why was his hot roommate so scowly.
"Soooo, what's up?" Stiles said trying to get rid of the awkward tension between them. Derek scowled even more and stiles wondered if his face is really like that.
"You don't talk much do you?" Stiles asked and go his answer from the silence.
"You know Mr. Scowly Face you need to speak in order to communicate." Stiles said and Derek looked amused. No one ever spoke like that to Derek before. People usually got scared and didn't talked to him. It wasn't his fault that he didn't like people.
"I don't have a scowly face!" Derek said with a scowl.
"Well your face says otherwise." Stiles replied.
"We need to go over some rules if we're gonna be roommates." Derek stated and stiles nodded.
"Don't make the room dirty.
I use shower at 7 a.m so do everything you wanna do before or after that. You're not allowed to have a party here. And most importantly don't bring a girl to have fun if I'm here." Derek finished looking at stiles. For some reason he found stiles intriguing and pretty. And scolded himself for thinking like that.
"Thats fine with me. And beside don't worry about me bring a girl here to do anything ever because my door swings different way." Stiles said and wanted to know if Derek was okay with it.
"You're not homophobic right?" Stiles asked sadly feeling a little scared. He had more than enough encounters with homophobic pricks in his highschool. He wasn't looking forward to getting bullied in his college too. Specially by his hot straight roommate. Derek noticed the discomfort on stiles' face and suddenly felt bad for making him feel that way.
"No, I'm not homophobic. I don't judge people like that. Just don't have sex while I'm here." Derek said and went on to do whatever he needed to leaving stiles alone. Stiles then used his time to settle down.
In the evening he met with Scott to have dinner.
"Dude! My roommate is like so hot!!" Stiles exclaimed and Scott sighed.
"Stiles. Buddy don't get too carried away. Remember what it was like in highschool for us?" Scott reminded his best friend. They both had to endure constant bullying up to the point where they both got sent into the hospital for multiple injuries.
"I know." Stiles said sadly.
"But i can't help it!! He's so hot! And straight." Stiles whined to his best friend. "And what about you? How's your roommate?" Stiles asked Scott and Scott blushed.
"You like your roommate too?!" Stiles exclaimed excitedly making Scott blush even more.
"He's hot. Sue me!" Scott whined and stiles laughed.
"So let's get some food because I'm starving and we have class from tomorrow." Stiles reminded Scott and they both agreed.
It had been a week since they started college and stiles was having a really good time. Well apart from the assignments that is. And the part where Derek walked around the room shirtless in his glory. Stiles had to gather all his will power not to stare at the broody male. He would take sneaky glances though. They still didn't speak much because Derek was an A-hole according to stiles but his hotness made it okay. Like right now stiles was alone in his dorm, so he took that chance to plug his headphones and dance to Fancy by Iggy Azalea feat Charlie XCX.
"I'M SO FANCY!
YOU ALREADY KNOW!" Stiles sang on the top of his lungs taking advantage of being alone in his shared room with Derek. He swayed his hips and twirled around.
"I'M IN THE FAST LANE
FROM LA TO TOKYO." He spun his head around, arms flailing randomly. What he didn't know was Derek was about to come in.
"I'M SO FANCY!" Stiles sang and did a sassy step when Derek opened the door. Derek was amused to see stiles dancing there. More than that he thought it was cute. Derek groaned as questioning why he thought that. Stiles had been messing with his head from the first time he saw him. He had been observing the younger like how beautiful and peaceful he looks when he's asleep. That wasn't creepy at all. And seeing stiles like this right now he couldn't help but smile. He was so everything Derek was not. And the best part stiles hadn't even noticed Derek had been watching stiles dance for a while now.
"TRASH THE HOTEL LET'S GET DRUNK ON MINI BAR!
MAKE THE PHONE CALL FEELS SO GOOD GETTING WHAT I WANT" Stiles again swayed his hips and Derek didn't know why he felt like grabbed those hips by his hand and pull stiles close to him.
"KEEP ON TURNING IT UP
CHANDLER'S SWINGING WE DON'T GIVE A.." He was bobbing his head as he turned around to see Derek leaning against the doorframe.
"FUCK!!!! DEREK WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??!" Stiles cried out when he saw Derek standing there with a smile on his face. Stiles quickly removed his headphones and looked at Derek for his answer.
"I live here too you know? Just didn't think I'd be welcomed with a performance like that." Derek smirked and stiles blushed a bright shade of pink.
"I didn't think you'd come this early." Stiles mumbled looking at the floor wishing it would crack and swallow him and put him out of his misery.
"The class got canceled." Derek shrugged as he made his way towards his bed.
"Hey wanna go get something to eat?" Derek asked and stiles shrugged.
"We can order a pizza and watch Grey's Anatomy?" Stiles asked looking at Derek with doe eyes making it harder for Derek to say no. So he agreed.
"Omg! Yay! So we need tissues lots and lots of tissues!" Stiles exclaimed. So for the rest of the night they spent crying while watching it. Derek will never admit to that.
The next day he was walking around the campus when he heard his name being called and he turned around. It was Kai (totally not the Kai from the vampire diaries) from his geology class. They were assigned. "Hey stiles." Kai said as he stopped in front of stiles and caught his breath.
"Hey Kai." Stiles replied.
"So about that project can we do it in your dorm room? Mines kind of off limits. My roomie is having some friends over so..." He asked stiles looking hopeful.
"Sure. But just a warning that my roommate is a bit broody." Stiles said remembering Derek. Last night they had so much fun that stiles will never forget it. Derek smiling was one of the most beautiful things in the world. He groaned internally, he really needs to stop thinking about Derek so much. He know it is never gonna happen.
"Okay! See ya later stiles." Kai smiled and left. Stiles also left to meet with Scott. Scott had his own problems. His roommate had been pinning over him from the day he saw Scott and Scott was ignoring him.
"Hey Scotty!" Stiles said happily as he sat in front of Scott in the café they were currently in. Scott just groaned and put his head on the table.
"Jackson still on your back about that date?" Stiles asked curiously at Scott.
"Yeah. Ahh! I don't know what to do!!" Scott whined to his best friend.
"You like him...but you don't wanna go out with him?" Stiles asked amused at Scott.
"Yeah. He treats me better than anyone. But what if he turns to be like Matt? I can't go through something like that again." Scott said sadly remembering what Matt his ex had done to him. Matt had asked Scott out on a date and after a couple of months he made Scott fall in love with him. But in the end Scott was left brokenhearted when Matt said it was just for bet and embarrassed him in front of entire school. Scott didn't trust anyone except stiles.
"He's not like Matt Scott. I've met him, he's a nice guy. But do what your heart tells you." Stiles tells him and he nods.
"Thanks buddy." Scott tells him.
"Alright. I gotta get back. I've to do project work with Kai." Stiles stated looking at Scott. Scott was about to speak when his phone rang and he started to panic.
"Omg! The phone is ringing. Its Jackson! What do i do?" Scott said panicking.
"Here's a crazy idea Scott. Answer it." Stiles said sarcastically rolling his eyes.
"Remember listen to your heart. And I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." Stiles said as he left Scott to talk to Jackson and made his way towards his dorm.
"Hey der." Stiles greeted Derek as he entered his dorm. Derek would get mad at the nickname but he liked hearing it coming from stiles' mouth.
"Hey, stiles. What's up?" Derek asked and stiles just shrugged.
"Kai is coming over for our geology project." Stiles said and Derek felt sick in his stomach. Derek told himself that it was because of the of the food he had earlier and not the jealousy.
"Who's Kai?" Derek asked sounding jealous.
"Oh he's a guy form my geo class. He's really cute." Stiles said and Derek felt like his heart was stabbed. He wasn't sure why he was feeling like this. Last time he checked he was straight. But something about stiles made him wanna hold him close and never let go. Derek's thoughts were shattered where he heard a knock on the door. Stiles was already opening it.
"Hey, Kai. Come on in." Stiles greeted Kai and invited him in. Derek was staring at them like he wanted to snap Kai's neck like a popsicle stick.
"This is Derek my awesome roommate." Stiles introduced to Kai happily.
"Hey I'm Kai." Kai said and extended his hand but all he got was glare in return.
"You were right about him being broody." Kai whispered into stiles' ear. Man if looks could start fire stiles thought. Derek was glaring at Kai and stiles was just standing there looking miserably awkward.
"Let's just start the project." Stiles said and the two of them began to work under Derek's glare, majority of the glare was directed towards kai.
Derek was more than sure that Kai wah flirting with his stiles. Derek scolded himself for thinking that stiles was his. Kai was making stiles blush and Derek was controlling himself. But lost it when Kai randomly kissed stiles on the lips and stiles was left there blushing and gaping like a goldfish.
"Okay! You get out now!" Derek roared making both of them scared.
"Stiles..i umm..I'll see you tomorrow." Kai said as he rushed out of the room.
"What the hell was that?" Stiles asked Derek feeling mad.
"What? He kissed you!" Derek defended.
"So what? You scared him. And i can kiss him if i want to!" Stiles snapped at Derek.
"I don't want you kissing a guy!" Derek said making stiles more mad.
"Guess what Derek? I'm gay! And you said you weren't a homophobe!" Stiles said with his arms flailing.
"I'm not!" Derek defended.
"I don't want you kissing a guy unless that guy is me." Derek said softly and stiles was shocked.
"I--i-- you... What?" Stiles stuttered out. But before he could say another word he was pulled by his neck and his lips met with Derek's. He was surprised, shocked even and after realizing that Derek was kissing him he kiss back with just as much passion. Derek broke the kiss and rested his forehead on stiles'.
"Is this real?" Stiles mumbled closing his eyes.
"Its real. I've felt something for you from the day i saw you. I ignored it thinking it wasn't anything. I was-am straight. Its only you that i feel like this for. And when i saw kai kissing you it killed me. It made me realize that I Love You." Derek confessed and stiles opened his eyes to look at him.
"I love you too Derek. I fell in love from the moment i saw you. And i thought that it would never happen and i just ignored my heart even though it was hard." Stiles said and Derek pecked his lips.
"You don't have to now." Derek said hugging the smaller male.
"Just stay away from Kai." Derek said with jealousy wrapped around his voice. Stiles just laughed.
"I'm only yours big guy." Stiles said. They spent the night cuddling.
The next day stiles met with Scott at the same café.
"Dude! Derek and I are together now!" Stiles exclaimed.
"Really? Jackson and I are together now too!" Scott said just as happily.
"How?" Stiles asked his best friend.
"Well you said listen to my heart and i did. Best decision i ever made. He treats me like a king. I'm falling form him." Scott said with a smile on his face.
"I'm happy for you!" Stiles said truthfully.

"Hey babe. Ready for our date?" A voice came from behind and stiles turned around to see Derek.
"Omg! Scott i totally forgot about my date with der!" Stiles said.
"Sorry bud i have to go." Stiles said looking apologetic.
"Its okay. I have to meet jax anyway. But you have to tell me everything." Scott said and stiles agreed.
"Bye stiles, Derek." Scott said and left.
"Let's go!" Stiles exclaimed excitedly as he kissed Derek on the lips.
"Calm down baby. We'll get there." Derek said intertwining their hands and kissing stiles' knuckles.
