I'm not going to lie with this, I've been really excited to do this analysis. Cartman is my second favorite character and probably the most interesting one in the show. He isn't so liked by many on this website and it upsets me on how is a lot of people's least favorite character. Cartman is the icon of South Park and the favorite character of Trey Parker and Matt Stone themselves, but enough introduction, let's begin

Eric Cartman is known by South Park fans, for being a loud spoken, determined, narcissistic, fat, spoiled even a little psychotic, young boy

Eric Cartman is known by South Park fans, for being a loud spoken, determined, narcissistic, fat, spoiled even a little psychotic, young boy. There's so much to talk about Cartman but it is appropriate to talk about what he is most known for. Being a huge jerk that no one likes and is the reason for a lot of trouble in the town. Cartman isn't afraid to do what he wants, when he thinks it's good, often not caring about others opinion on the matter. He has no limits on what he will do and frankly, could be the reason for why he is the most entertaining.  In episodes such as "Tsst" "Scott Tenorman must die" "Tonsil Trouble" and so many Cartman episodes, Cartman does extremely questionable things in which the audience doesn't expect would happen but if it would, it'd be Cartman to do it. Cartman also doesn't seem to have any remorse for what he does wrong, most of the time anyways, so it seems like he might be psychotic. In the episode "201" Cartman is told that his father was Jack Tenorman and that he was responsible for his murder. At first it seems that Cartman is upset about this fact, for he's seen crying outside. However it is only revealed that he is only crying about the fact that his father was ginger.

Along with Cartman seeming not to care about his actions, he also shows a few signs of being a sociopath. In the episode "Bass to Mouth" Cartman is greatly amused by the news of Pete Melman, crapping his pants during school. Cartman admits, that the reason why he finds the news to be so funny, is becuase Pete is greatly embarrassed and scared by what has happened. Sociopaths gain great pleasure in people's pain and suffering and Cartman has shown to love being a horrible bully. Another example of this, is in the episode "Jared has Aides" Cartman sits outside of Butters's home, while his parents abuse him, eating popcorn as if it was some sort of show. However despite everything bad Cartman has done in the show, it's not like he isn't ever punished for it. In episodes like "Christian Rock Hard" "Breast Cancer show ever" "Freak Strike" "HumancentiPAD" Cartman is punished for being bad in beatings or just not getting what he wants.  He may not learn from these beatings but he does receive punishment when he really deserves it.
