7. Plans of the Hyuga

"She's a disappointment, losing to her sister who is five years younger than her." A voice that belongs to my grandfather, stated. I hung my head in shame as tears start to form.

"Yes, she is. But what should we do with her, father?" My father asked. There was a silent pause as if grandfather was thinking deeply.

"I believe that we should send Hinata to the outskirts of Konoha to live in, until she proves herself worthy of being part of the main branch. Until then she will be forbidden to step foot in the Hyuga compound without permission of us or the Hokage." I couldn't listen anymore, so I quietly ran into my room as tears blurred my vision. 'I... I don't want to leave! I want to stay with Hanabi! I don't want to be alone...'

When I reached my room the first thing I did was grab my pillow and cried into it. 'Why do I have to be such a crybaby?' After I finished crying I opened my window to get some fresh air in my room, I realised it was night time. 'I must've been crying for hours now.' I took a breath of fresh air, relaxing me before I closed the window and lied on my bed, staring at the ceiling above me. 'I wish I could be strong like Naruto-kun.' I quickly feel asleep with that thought in mind.

~Morning~

"G-Good morning, Father, Grandfather." I bowed in respect to the Hyuga clan's leaders.

"Hinata." Father's voice was stern and full of authority. I kept my head down to avoid my father's gaze. "Look up." I did as I was commanded and looked at father in the eyes. It made me scared of what he was going to say next. "Not too long ago we were told that by Lord Hokage that you are targeted by a dangerous group." His eyes... they're lying. "To protect you and the Hyuga clan's Byakugan we're going to send you away to the outskirts of Konoha. You are forbidden to step into the Hyuga compund unless you have permission by Father and I or Lord Hokage himself. Do you understand, Hinata."

"Wait! Why can't Onee-chan stay here, were strong enough to protect her!" I didn't even notice that Hanabi was even there till she spoke.

"We need to be cautious, especially since Hinata lost, in a disgraceful manner." Granfather spoke before challenging Hanabi to speak again. "We also want you to change your idenity. To make yourself not to look or act like a Hyuga." In other words he's saying: you're forbidden to be part of your own family because you are too kind and not a heartless idiot who would hurt their loved family.

"I understand. W-When will I be leaving?" I asked. If I knew what father was about to say next, I would've never asked.

"Tomorrow." He answered. That soon!

"I-Isn't that when the s-squads are announced?" Father nodded, saying that he already knew and had something planned already.

"You will stay there until the threat has been eliminated or when we believe you are strong enough to handle yourself." I must be such a disappointment. I need some air.

"P-Please excuse me, I-I am going to take a w-walk." I excused myself leaving the dining room after I had breakfast. 'This is way too soon for me.' I thought as I took my time walking around the Hyuga compound since it would be the last time I come here for a long time.
