Destruction

Thats what Mikoto saw around him. He heard nothing. He saw no one. The only thing around him is the mess he made. He panted heavily as he felt his head ache throb in his head.

Where was everyone?

"You killed them."

He flinched when he heard a sickening voice echo

Mikoto glared at the ground, ignoring everything around him as if a way to escape

"You killed everyone...You burned them...Even 'her'" It said

Mikoto raised his hand and stared at it, he saw his hand burnt bad. But he couldnt feel the pain. He didnt want to believe he was the one who burned everyone.

As if the voice could hear his thoughts, it answered

"Do you want proof?"

He groaned and released his fire around him as if an attempt to kill the invisible prescence

The voice chuckled and Mikoto's surrounding changed. He saw everyone in HOMRA, including you.

All of you were laughing, chatting with each other as usual while he watched from a distance.

Suddenly you stopped and turned to where Mikoto was. You smiled sweetly before walking to him cheerfully.

Mikoto felt himself smile. His love was infront of him. Fine and well.

Until you stopped. Your expression changed into Horror. And It was directed to Mikoto

"Mikoto....What are you doing!?" You yelled, slowly backing out

Everyone in the bar stood up cautiously, looking at their king.

Mikoto frowned. He saw your gaze drop to his hand then back to his face.

He raised his hand and saw it engulfed by flames. His red flames.

He turned to look at you again and tried to say something but before he could speak, the bar suddenly exploded and all he saw was everyone screaming.

You ran to where Anna was and hugged her tightly, trying to find a way out.

Mikoto felt his head throb so he held it tightly and growled in annoyance

All he heard was you pleading for him to stop. You kept calling his name until everything vanished. Everything turned black and all he heard again was the sickening voice.

"See? You're destruction. You will kill them...Soon"

He mumbled 'Stop' all over again while he held his head while the voice laughed maniacally

"Mikoto!" Your voice echoed

Mikoto turned, still holding his head in his hands, looking for you. He apologized to the air a hundred times until he felt himself tremble

"MIKOTO! WAKE UP!"

Mikoto opened his eyes panting hard, his gaze staring at nothing for a second before realizing you were looking at him worried

"Are you alright? You were groaning in your sleep." You asked

He sighed before sitting down, staring at your figure as if you were only an illusion

"I didnt kill you? And everyone?" He asked

You chuckled and cupped his face with your left hand

"Im pretty much alive and beautiful. Lets talk about your nightmare tomorrow, okay? Just go back to sleep." You comforted

Mikoto closed his eyes tightly as if trying not to cry before nodding

You smiked at him and laid down, Mikoto also doing the same but his back facing you

You wrapped your left arm around his waist and whispered

"Your powers are not meant for destruction Mikoto. They're meant to protect. Protect me and Homra, our family. Remember that."

Mikoto felt his lips twich as if supressing a smile. He felt safe now. Suddenly the possibility of him burning up everything is like a joke now.

Soon he felt himself drift back to sleep. This time he felt safe and comfortable

You, on the other hand, sat up when you knew he fell asleep.

You looked at his softly snoring figure before smiling sadly, stroking his red locks

"Dont fear your power Mikoto....Its what drives you insane. Your fear makes you loose control" you mumbled, raising up your right hand and examining it

It was burned.

You stared at it before sighing, remembering how your king/boyfriend looked when he had his nightmare

His hand was on fire until it engulfed his body, in fear that he might burn himself you tried waking him up, only to get burned but you didnt stop waking him up. You endured the pain, screaming his name all over again until he woke up. Knowing he might get scared if he sees your hand burned, you hid it from him.

You kissed his cheek softly

"I wont let you hurt anyone Mikoto. They're our family. I'll be there to stop you. I promise." You whispered before going out to cure your burnt hand

As you were doing so, Kusanagi checked on you as if he knew you would be there in the middle of the night

"Another nightmare?" He asked as he helped you

You sighed and nodded

"I assured him that everything is fine but I think it wont last." You said

Kusanagi chuckled and stood up to make you a glass of warm milk

"Thank you for always being there for Mikoto, (Y/N)...Keep on doing so okay" you heard him mumble

You chuckled and stared at your now bandaged hand

"I love him so much that Im willing to be burned just to protect him. No need to remind me."
