Marble Hornets is a online YouTube series involving the Slenderman, an "eldritch abomination" that stalks people and mutilates them. The series was created By Troy Wagner and Joseph DeLage, two college students. It is very popular, and it has inspired several series, like Tribe Twelve, EverymanHYBRID, DarkHarvest00 and MLAndersen0.
The macabre videos play out in entries of a video diary, ranging from finding a mysterious item to being attacked, at times. The primary antagonists are two cloaked figures, sometimes addressed among the community as "Masky and Hoody." The entries themselves are still being updated, and have been in production since June 2009. The videos are by no means under-appreciated: The introduction and the first two episodes have received well over one million views each. None of the videos, save those that are possibly forgotten to have the setting inputted, are allowed commenting. There are over 50 entries in the series, some of which are prerecorded videos, and some of which are Jay recording his experiences and encounters with the strange phenomena lurking around him and Alex.
The story itself revolves around the stalking of Alex Kralie, a film school student, by Slenderman after working for a period of time on the set of a movie he was filming. His concerned friend, Jay, is entrusted with the tapes after Alex decides to get rid of them, having dropped the project itself altogether due to "unworkable conditions". The videos depict Alex's documentation of his stalking, with some evidence as well. Alex becomes increasingly paranoid and easily agitated throughout his encounters, reducing him to the point where he must film himself sleeping. Alex disappears not long after he gives away the tapes, and is never heard from by Jay again. Jay sets out to find Alex and pinpoint the cause of his disappearance. Soon enough, he finds himself being followed and harassed as well, delving into the same paranoid state as Alex and carrying a camera with him everywhere. He even resorts to living in his car to avoid being attacked at some point. Over time, even when Alex is finally found, the two are nothing more than hostile acquaintances to one another.
Alex's writings of the "Operator Symbol", as it's been come to be known as, are found by Jay throughout his journey to uncover Alex's secrets and the truth behind his stalking. The symbol is thought to be associated with Slenderman as well.

Marble Hornets is a online YouTube series involving the Slenderman, an "eldritch abomination" that stalks people and mutilates them. The series was created By Troy Wagner and Joseph DeLage, two college students. It is very popular, and it has inspired several series, like Tribe Twelve, EverymanHYBRID, DarkHarvest00 and MLAndersen0.
The macabre videos play out in entries of a video diary, ranging from finding a mysterious item to being attacked, at times. The primary antagonists are two cloaked figures, sometimes addressed among the community as "Masky and Hoody." The entries themselves are still being updated, and have been in production since June 2009. The videos are by no means under-appreciated: The introduction and the first two episodes have received well over one million views each. None of the videos, save those that are possibly forgotten to have the setting inputted, are allowed commenting. There are over 50 entries in the series, some of which are prerecorded videos, and some of which are Jay recording his experiences and encounters with the strange phenomena lurking around him and Alex.
The story itself revolves around the stalking of Alex Kralie, a film school student, by Slenderman after working for a period of time on the set of a movie he was filming. His concerned friend, Jay, is entrusted with the tapes after Alex decides to get rid of them, having dropped the project itself altogether due to "unworkable conditions". The videos depict Alex's documentation of his stalking, with some evidence as well. Alex becomes increasingly paranoid and easily agitated throughout his encounters, reducing him to the point where he must film himself sleeping. Alex disappears not long after he gives away the tapes, and is never heard from by Jay again. Jay sets out to find Alex and pinpoint the cause of his disappearance. Soon enough, he finds himself being followed and harassed as well, delving into the same paranoid state as Alex and carrying a camera with him everywhere. He even resorts to living in his car to avoid being attacked at some point. Over time, even when Alex is finally found, the two are nothing more than hostile acquaintances to one another.
Alex's writings of the "Operator Symbol", as it's been come to be known as, are found by Jay throughout his journey to uncover Alex's secrets and the truth behind his stalking. The symbol is thought to be associated with Slenderman as well.
