2. Day Full Of Trouble

I was having breakfast. Some apple juice with toasts. I relaxed and enjoyed this peace and quiet moment. Until I remembered I had to walk to school today.

Dang it.

I put the dishes in the sink and went to get my backpack. Then, I left. So Joseph wasn't coming today because he had to visit his sick father. And Jade wouldn't be there until lunch due to some medical appointment. And dad was buying some stuff for mom's arrival tomorrow. When I got to school, everyone stared at me.

The hell? Why is everyone looking at me?

I thought as I made my way to the classroom, until I heard someone call me. "Bennett" I heard Austin say from behind me.

Sigh

I turned around. "What is it Austin?" I said with a slight attitude. He got close to me raising his hands. "Nothing, I just wanted to tell you to pay close attention to your surroundings" he said smirking. "Why?" I asked crossing my arms. "Because you will pay for yesterday" he said grinning and the bell rang. "See you in class" he said winking and leaving. "Ugh" I said rolling my eyes following him to the classroom, sitting down in my seat.

Lunch came, and nothing had happen. "Maybe he was just trying to scare me" I said to myself walking to my locker when I received a text message from Jade.

"Yeah forget it I ain't going"

"Why?"

"Too tired, call me when you get home"

"Well okay"

I sighed and put my phone away. I then went to open my locker and a bunch ping pong balls started to fall. Everyone stared just as I did. I then turned around to find Austin grinning.

"Seriously?" I said dumbfounded. He just chuckled. "Where did you even get all of these??" I asked pointing at them. "You'd be surprised what the P. E teacher has in his private closet" he said scratching the back of his head. "True" I said nodding. "This isn't all Bennett, so beware" he said walking away. I looked at everyone as they left whispering and laughing. I shook my head with a sigh and saw the janitor starting to pick up the ping pong balls so I went to help him.

Then, in chemistry, we were doing an experiment with tomato sauce. I went to write something on my binder. When I turned around, I saw Austin sneaking something into my project. "No!!" I yelled running towards it but it was too late. The tomato sauce fired at me, making a huge mess in the classroom. Everyone started laughing while the teacher had her jaw on the floor. "Austin and Ashley DETENTION!" She yelled at us. "Seriously?!" I yelled. "Worth it" I heard Austin whisper.

We were the only ones in detention. He was grinning at me the whole time. Once the teacher went to get some coffee from the cafeteria, I took the chance to go to Austin and slap him in the face. "Jerk!" I yelled at him. He then stood up angrily. "Oh you did not just do that" he said looking down at me. "Well I did, you ignorant bully!" I said and that's when it happened.

He grabbed me forcefully and held me against the wall and I gasped. "No one messes with me, and I don't care if you're a girl either" he said angrily at me. I struggled to get free. "All of this just for accidentally spilling your launch yesterday?! Unbelievable! Now let me go!" I yelled at him. He then let me go.
"Be careful with your words and actions Bennett. I'm warning you" he said walking towards the window. I just stared at him angrily. At that moment, the teacher came back. "You two can go now, and stay out of trouble" he said and Austin left. "Yes sir" I nodded and left too.

I walked home. Remembering what happened. I shook my head trying to forget. "What a jerk" I repeated out loud.

I then got home, slamming the door.

"Wow wow wow honey what's with the attitude? And why are you covered in tomato sauce stains?" Dad asked walking towards me. I sighed. "I don't wanna talk about it" I said looking down.

"Well, do you want to decorate for mom's arrival tomorrow?" He said smiling and I nodded. "Yes" I said with a smile. Dad then went upstairs to get the decorations. "Take a bath first though!" He yelled from upstairs and I chuckled going to the bathroom.

Once we finished, it was 7pm.

"Want pizza?" Dad said flipping through the channels. "Yasss" I said and we started to laugh. He then picked up the phone and called Pizza Hut.

16 minutes later, the door bell rang. "I'll get it" dad said getting up and going to the door. I then texted Joseph.

"Joseph, mom's coming home tomorrow evening, think you can make it?"

"Sure thing"

"Awesome, how's your dad btw?"

"He's actually getting better, thanks for asking"

"No prob, well, see you tomorrow xoxo"

"Sweet dreams"

Dad came holding the pizza box. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "Lets eat!" We both said at the same time.

Once it was 11pm, I went to my room and called Jade.

"Jade, mom's coming tomorrow"

"I'll be there"

"Cool"

"Anything happened today with the jerk?"

"....No....?"

"You're telling us tomorrow"

"Ughhh fine"

"Night Ash"

"Night Jade"

I hung up and threw myself at the bed.

They'll freak out if I tell them what happened....in detention...

We were so close.... Our faces...each other's body...

I blushed.

I shook my head and finally went to sleep.
