Prolouge

Third P.O.V

Maryse Lightwood was walking down the halls, on a mission. She'd just gotten back from a clave meeting with Robert, her husband but now she was search for her two oldest children.

Finally reached her Alec's room, she stopped in front of the door and straightened her self out. Then opened the door and walked in, to see both Alec and Isabelle.

" good, your here too Isabelle. " Maryse said as she walked closer to the young Shadowhunters

" is something wrong " Alec said to his mother seeing the look she had on her face

Maryse shook her head

" no, I just need you two, to do something for me " Maryse said

" what is it " Isabelle said starting to get worried
After waiting a few minuets Maryse finally said
" Alec, Isabelle, pack your bags "

Confused, Alex and Isabelle look at each other then at there mother.

" are we going somewhere " Isabelle asked

" you to are moving, so that you can stay safe " Maryse told her daughter as she walked up to Izzy and Alec

" what about the institution and the clave " Alec asked confused as to why his mother thinks he will just up and leave, when his family is in a time of need

Maryse shook her head and looked Alec in the eye

" this is an order from the clave, your father and myself " Maryse told her kids holding her ground like she always did

Isabelle shook her head an ran her fingers threw her hair as she said to her mother " no, we can't just leave you and dad and the institution. It's our home "

Maryse didn't care about what they wanted to do right now, all she wanted was to keep her children safe

" you can and you will, this is an order and you will follow it " Maryse said turning away from her kids so they wouldn't see the tears that started to show in her eyes

Trying to reason with his mother Alec suggested

" but with everything going on doesn't the clave need all the hunters they can get "

Maryse put one hand on Alec's shoulder the other on Isabelle's cheek then after about 2 minuets she removed them and started to walk toward the door but stop just before walking out

" Alec, you and your sister have your orders, and I won't repeat this again so follow them "

Then Maryse continued on her way out of her sons room
