What In The World?!

~Alex's POV~

He hopped out of the car, and now I was alone in the dark car. I didn't know what he was doing, so I just rolled down my window and sat there. I heard him cough a little and then I started to smell smoke. I got out of the car to see him behind the car.

"Brian stop!" I smacked the cigarette out of his hand. He blew out smoke and looked down. I patted his pockets and found what I was looking for. I took out his lighter and threw it into the empty field next to us.

"Thank you," he said to me. "I thought I could stand it, not smoking, but I guess I can't. But really.. Thank you for doing that."

I could tell he was upset. I hugged him and we stood on the side of the road and hugged, as it started to rain. We stood there for about 3 minutes and we're soaking wet. His heartbeat is so loud in my ear. We hopped back into the jeep and were on our way home.
