I rode the bus to school today. Usually I'd drive but now I can't because of my ankle. Duncan came over to me when I got off the bus. "What happened after I left?"
"Can we go to first period?" It was early so now one would be there. "Ok... I'm gunna tell you but you can't worry about me ok?" He nodded. "I have cancer... There is a cure but it takes a year to make..." He hugged me.
"I'm sorry..."
"It's not your fault..."
"If I would have stayed with you tho..."
"You didn't tho... and I'd have cancer either way..."
"But..."
"But nothing...I'm fine...I'll be out of this cast... I won't have cancer... I'm fine..." I heard a familiar voice.
"WHAT THE HELL! Duncan!"
"WHAT?!"
"Why the hell are you hanging out with her?"
"Cause she only has weeks to live!" He lied and her face softened than hardened.
"Why you got some cold or B.S.?!"
"Cancer to be exact." Her face softened even more.
"I'm sorry..." She went over to her seat and stared out the window.
"Ignore her she's just an ex..." It's her... They broke up at the hospital... In front of a dying girl...
