There is a girl just laying there
Only 10 with a sad look on her face
Abandoned by the ones once known as mom and dad
She remembers the time
When she wasn't sad
She remembers the soft glowing light
The songs her once kind mother sang
The games that her family used to play
The times when she got hurt and her parents made it not hurt
The times that they cried
Not wanting there little girl to go to school
The times that her parents said that she would be ok after a nightmare
And the times they were a family
Oh these memories all to bittersweet
Make the child dream about her parents before they turned cold hearted and mean.
