You took me home early today. My parents weren't home. You helped me up to my room and made me lay down.

"Don't leave me," I tell you, holding your wrist tightly.

You smile sadly and shake your head.

"I have to. I'll come back after school. I promise."

I whimper when you leave. I get up and go to the window, watching you leave. You turn and wave.

He's not going to come back.

You don't deserve him.

He's sick of being your rock.

I whimper.

"Just leave me alone, please?" I beg.

There's only one way.

Go to your favorite place.

Without thinking twice, I run outside without shoes, the gravel cutting my feet.
