It must have been noon by the time Lauren woke up, still on Normani's bed where they had fallen asleep without meaning to. They mostly spent time talking about their old memories when they were kids but didn't spend much time getting to know the people they were now. There were still so many unanswered questions:

Why did Normani really move away? Why didn't she tell Lauren? Why did she never try to call or write or email her? Did she know how badly her leaving hurt her? Did she know how it affected her in the future?

Normani had no clue that her leaving lead Lauren to a life of no longer being able to trust friends to stay in her life. Truthfully, that is why Lauren was such a loner, she pretended it was her attitude but in reality she never wanted to open up to someone else like she did with Normani just to have them leave again.

Lauren sat up and rubbed her eyes looking down at the darker girl still asleep on the bed. She couldn't believe this had happened. She wondered if things would be able to just pick up where they left off 10 years ago, but she knew they were both different people then they were back then.

Carefully Lauren lifted herself off the bed trying not to disturb Normani. She walked over to her closet, grabbed a clean towel and her shower caddy, and headed down the hall to the bathrooms. Lauren hated the idea of community bathrooms but knew it was just a part of college life she would have to get used to. She stripped down and turned the knob of the shower letting the water run a bit before stepping under.

She made a slight screeching noise as she stepped in not expecting the water to be as cold as it was. She tried to warm her body by rubbing her hands up and down her arms. The sounds of whistling echoed through the stalls as someone else entered the bathroom. Without warning the door to Lauren's stall swung open and screams came out of each girl's mouths.

"I AM SO SORRY!" Normani said slamming the door shut. "I really wasn't paying attention to what stall I was walking into. I promise I didn't see much!"

Lauren's face was red in embarrassment. How could she have been stupid enough to not lock the door? She finally spoke up still slightly embarrassed, "it's my fault, what idiot forgets to lock the stall?"

Lauren took no time to finish her shower, which never warmed up at all. She wrapped herself in her towel and let her wet hair fall down her back dipping water across the floor as she exited the stall. She hurried back to her room because the combination of the air conditioning and her cold damp body had her freezing her tits off. She quickly dried off and got dressed into warm clean clothes before running a brush through her wet hair to get the knots out.

Normani entered the room a few minutes later making sure to keep her head down because she was still embarrassed for walking in on Lauren before. "I'm really sorry about that." Normani said hanging up her wet towel. She had already changed into her clothes in the bathroom and Lauren admired the way her tight shorts hugged her thighs and hips.

"Really it's no big deal." Lauren said drawing her eyes away from Normani after she found herself staring at the girl's amazing figure. "I mean it's not like we didn't used to take baths together when we were kids."

She had a point, this technically not the first time Normani had seen Lauren naked. When they would sleep over at each other's houses (which was usually 2-3 times a week) they almost always took bubble baths together until they got too big to both fit in the tub.

Normani paused a second before asking Lauren something that she had been curious about after walking in on her, "what is the tattoo on your rib cage for?"

Out of instinct Lauren looked down at her ribs but realized she had a shirt on before speaking, "oh right, you saw that? It's the roman numerals 27," she lifted up her shirt to show off the XVII just under her left breast, "it's my lucky number, I don't know it's just special to me. Do you have any tattoos?" She looked back up at Normani who she realized was staring at her toned (but not quite as toned as Normani's) abs. Normani could tell that Lauren noticed her staring and quickly averted her eyes from the exposed skin.
