The Other Side

"How far did he go?" Hinata panted. "Byakugan!" she looked around searching for his chakra. "Found him" she said dashing forward. "Naruto" Hinata spoke as she stopped behind Naruto who was standing at the gates. "Who are you?" Naruto asked his back towards Hinata.

"What are you-?" Hinata stopped noticing he wasn't talking to her. "Why should I do that?" He asked. Hinata looked past him and saw nothing. She activated her Byakugan and saw the same thing she saw last time but it had more of a shape.

"I understand but what about what I want?" Naruto said angry. The entity seemed to get agitated. "What will happen to me?" Naruto asked looking at the ground. He nodded and then extended out a closed fist. The other Naruto mimicked his movements.

A bright light shone through blinding Hinata making her look away. Once the light calmed down she heard a thud. Her head spun and she ran to Naruto who had fallen. "What happened?" Sasuke said stopping. "I'm not sure, let's  get him to the infirmary" Hinata said trying to pick him up.

Naruto opened his eyes and sat up. "Naruto! Are you alright?" Sasuke almost jumped right on top of him. "Fine" he said surprised. "Hinata told us what she saw, who exactly were you talking to?" Naruto eyes clouded over. "I don't remember talking to anyone. And get off of me bastard" Naruto pushed Sasuke off.

"What did you just call me?" Sasuke asked his voice small and afraid. "Heh? I called you a bastard have a problem with that?" Naruto glared. "Naruto what did you used to call Jiraya?" Tsunade asked stepping up. "Pervy Sage... What's with you guys? And why am I in the infirmary-" Naruto's eyes widened.

"I'm supposed to be dead... how?" Naruto asked looking down at his hands. "You don't remember?" Sakura asked. "Remember what?" Naruto asked his head was thumping. He grabbed it wincing at the sudden pain.

"I think it's best to rest for now, we'll talk later" Tsuande said pushing everyone out of the room. 'Having Ino and Hinata in his mind seems to have taken it's toll on him. So had whatever happened. Just how did this happen?' Tsuande thought as she gave one last glance at Naruto and the closed the sliding door.

Naruto put his hand down and made sure he was alone then let out a sigh. He laid back down and turned on his side. He stared at the stars, his eyes foggy and distant. He closed them and like he was a couple of minutes ago he was out cold.

"Who are you?" Naruto asked as he stared at another him. "I am you. We are Ying and Yang, we are two pieces of the same puzzle. You do not belong here you must go back to the other side" the other Naruto said. "Why should I do that?" Naruto asked getting a bit angry. "If you don't then you will never be whole. You will forever be an incomplete version." The other Naruto said his eyes closed for a while then opened once more. "I understand but what about what I want?" Naruto asked getting angry and glaring at the other him. "Don't you understand?! What we want doesn't matter to anyone!" the other Naruto yelled his happy demeanor gone. "What will happen to me?" Naruto asked calming down. "You are the piece that makes me whole. You are the feelings to my memories. You will become one with me" the other Naruto said concealing some of the truth. Naruto nodded and held out a fist the other Naruto did the same. A huge light began to shine as their bodies merged and became one again.

The other Naruto didn't lie to the current Naruto but he didn't tell him the entire story either. This is the way it will always be. The two of the are like original and reflection. The other Naruto looks like the original when he is actually the reflection. Trying to cover up that he is actually falling apart. The current Naruto will always be locked away inside of him. You see a smile can hide a scream. A smile can hide a broken soul. A smile can hide the truth. A smile can hide anything.
