Caught sight of a queen

Through the eyes of a lover

Arraying his branches in her spirit

Felt the feathers of angels

From stranger skin

Acuting his appetite for love

Heard joys of songbirds

In his ears, silvery

Burnishing his golden ages

Discerned heavens' air on earth

Written in someone else's pages

Incising her visage on his throne of emotion

Tasted pleasures of life and beyond

Behind lips I do not have to my name

Flavoring the assonance in his days

Sensed the fortunate stroke of serendipity

From a soulmate

Morphing his nemesis into a sky of butterflies.
