[History Class – Last Week Of School]

"Alright everybody time to present your projects... Maya?" Maya stood up and walked to the front of the class, she hadn't spoken to Lucas or even acknowledged him since she found out what happened. 

"I've come to realize that I'm one of the luckiest girls in the world, I have friends who love me and my parents, and a wonderful history teacher who has taught everything from the Civil War to the Legacy we want to leave behind. I'm lucky enough to say I've been in love, I'm lucky enough to say I'll be attending NYU with my best friend Riley in the fall. I don't know most of you and for that I'm really sorry but I want to leave the legacy behind that I wish you all luck in wherever you go and whoever you turn out to be. In the fall we're going to be taking on the real world; and that scares me, but with you, I know we're going to be fine. The class stood up and applauded and Maya smiled and gave Riley a huge hug; "It's you and me kid! This world better be ready for us..." Maya said in Riley's ear. Riley looked at Lucas over Maya's shoulder and had a guilty look on her face.
