7:54pmLILA STOOD outside her apartment complex waiting for harry. she was excited yet nervous, she was really fond of the boy but this was her first date. she wasn't quite sure what to do or how to act. she wasn't sure if harry would like her after this date. it scared her, but not to the point where she was gonna back out. oh no, that is not who lila was. she rubbed her arms, because it was really cold outside. she looked around, the familiar beautiful scenery still took her breath away. she saw harry's car pull up infront of her. harry got out of his car and immediately met eyes with lila.
he walked over to her and kissed the back of her hand. "you look beautiful."
lila smiled and looked down, "thank you."
harry opened the car door for her and she went in. he shut it was got in on the other side.
"what are we going to do tonight harry?"
"well lila, i thought it'd be nice if i took you home and cook you dinner." harry smiled.
"that's sounds quite nice." lila smiled, biting her lip to keep herself from smiling too much at that cute idea if his.
"good." harry said as he drove down the street.
---
"i have never had anyone over but i thought it'd be a nice idea for a date." harry said, closing the door. he took off his coat, but kept his beanie on.
lila looked around and it was quite a lovely little place in her opinion. "you have a wonderful place harry."
"thank you."
they smiled at each other for a little bit before harry led the way to the kitchen. they started making pasta, harry cracking jokes here and there and lila laughing at how idiotic they were.
"ask me something." lila said as she stirred the sauce.
"okay, what's your full name?"
"delilah gray marvins."
"that's beautiful name," harry smiled.
"thank you."
"it fits with a beautiful girl like you." he smiled.
lila blushed a bit, "what about you? what's your full name?"
"harry edward styles," he replied.
lila just smiled, "what about your family? where are they?" she asked.
"i don't know really. after my mom died, my sister left and i haven't seen any of them since." harry said.
"i'm sorry."
"don't be, i'm okay." harry smiled it off.
"but how about you?"
"my mom is on the other side of the country, and my dad died two years ago. i moved here cause of college."
"i'm sorry about your dad."
"don't be, i'm okay as well." lila copied harry but it was the truth.
they began to ask each other a hundred different questions. the more harry answered them, the more invested lila wanted to be with him. harry put words so beautiful together, especially if it was about something he loved. she started to like it more and more everytime he spoke. his voice also was a beautiful thing in lila's opinion. they dished out their food on two plates without making a mess.
then harry asked, "how is it like to be in the point of view of lila gray marvins?"
"what do you mean?" lila asked, confused.
"tell me how you see things." he said like it was the simplest thing to put into words.
"i see it as a place where you can do anything. you can visit any place you want and you can interpret the world as how you want. everyone i have come across has impacted my life in one way or another and they helped shaped how i saw life. life is a beautiful thing when you think about it. i don't understand why people are so rude to each other or just sit around and do nothing all day. like you aren't truly getting anything out if it, you aren't seeing the beauty's of what this world can give you to see. i always find the beautiful parts of everything. it's great and i've actually never thought about how i saw this if i'm being honest."
harry smiled widely throughout all of that.
"beautiful." he muttered.
"what?" lila asked.
"beautiful. lila, you and how you see things and how you interpret the world is just beautiful."
"i don't know what to say." lila was speechless, but that was a good thing because lila always had something to say. she was rarely ever speechless.
"i've never met someone like you, granted i haven't really met many people but," harry laughed a bit at himself. he moved closer to lila and looked down at her.
"can i kiss you?"
their dinner was probably going cold, but this felt monumental. lila had never been asked that but she said yes. harry kissed lila. lila kissed harry back. his lips felt so soft and she felt the butterflies in her stomach explode. she had never felt anything like that, she had never felt the fireworks that she was feeling with harry. she had never felt the air around her escape and find it's way to the lips that she was kissing. it was like lila was drowning and harry's lips were the breath of air she desired. their lips moved together, as if it was an old dance being danced again. as if they rehearsed it for years and years, today they finally perfected it. all their emotions and desire, it went into that one kiss.
lila pulled away and they both smiled.
"you felt it didn't you?" harry whispered to her with a smile. she nodded and chuckled a bit.
"what does this mean?" she said, immediately regretting it afterwards because she knew it was a stupid question. but harry didn't laugh at her or give her a weird look.
he just said, "whatever you want beautiful."
which made lila smile, as well as harry.
