"It's just a question, sweetie."
"I'm thinking maybe it's time we change medication."
"What? No, that's not...this would be the third time. It's not good for her. Her body doesn't take well to the sudden change, you know what happened last time."
"I am aware she's had difficulties in the past adapting to--"
"She got sick! The symptoms were terrible. She was so depressed, all the time. She'd lock herself up in her room all day. She wouldn't eat, couldn't sleep, didn't talk. Half the time, I was scared she'd hurt herself."
"Why don't we ask her what she thinks?"
(Pause.)
"Valerie?"
"I don't know. What makes you so sure it'll work?"
"In your case, sweetheart, I can't be too sure of anything."
