Again, this word is comprised of two different Japanese words. "dan" is derived from the word "danmari", meaning silent and "dere", as we all know by now in this book, meaning lovey-dovey. People who identify as dandere are are similar to those who identify as coodere. They are seemingly unemotional at first, however they do not hide their feelings they are simply shy,which is later revealed when they get close to someone.
