One would figure he didn't have a body
by the way he blended into time so softly
Mixing colours with the background
He assumed position like all the rest
A population without a mind
and only, very attached to the physical
when a price tag is intact
His ankle showed
everyday
a shadow
Dipped into the fountain of chaos and calamity
...
The background was a billboard
for the American dream
One he never dreamt of but tried
too many times to grasp
Will you darling
dry with the land
and sink into the muck?
Yes
Sadly
Surely
you will.
