1) What is the name of the story we will be discussing?

Tomorrow Could be One Day Too Late

2) What is the genre of your story?

It's a short-story/romance/tragedy

3) What is this story about?

It's about a nineteen year-old girl named Kira. She was a normal college student, enjoying the freedoms of life after high school. But then everything changes when she suddenly finds her days numbered when the doctor gives her some shocking news. In an effort to protect the ones she loves, especially her best friend Andy, she keeps it a secret, lying about her condition while she slowly loses her battle with a deadly disease.

4) Was there anything in particular that made you come up with the idea for this story?

I actually originally wrote it as an assignment for my Honors English class. We had just finished reading Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'The Scarlet Letter,'  instead of writing an essay analyzing themes and symbols, my teacher decided us to essentially study the pathology of a lie through our own story, or an essay focusing on recent scandals in the news. It took me a while to come up with the idea- at first I was thinking of smaller lies like cheating on a test. After thinking about it for a while, I came up with this idea and just started writing. Five hours later, I had the rough draft of the story.

5) Was there anyone that inspired you to write?

My camp counselor, Shelly (who, by the way is the coolest person I've ever met) read one of the stories I started at camp and basically told me that if I didn't continue writing and become a published author then she'd personally track me down and make it happen. She's currently in Thailand working in a little village repairing bikes so that the people can have a mode of transportation to get to work and hopefully get better jobs eventually. She and I write letters to each other and I've sent her some of my stories. She's actually the one who encouraged me to post this story online.

6) What made you discover WattPad?

It's funny. I have a fanfiction account and never thought about getting an account anywhere else, but then one day my friend mentioned WattPad and told me to check it out. I checked it out and immediately loved how interactive it was. I love the fact that I can really interact with my readers and other users on this site.

7) Is there any genres/storys you enjoy reading on here? If so, what are they?

I love reading fanfictions about my favorite bands, so anything involving Avenged Sevenfold, Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse, Escape the Fate...stuff like that. I'm also obsessed with historical fiction and old classics like Wuthering Heights or Pride and Prejudice. I love reading Shakespeare's plays- Julius Caesar is one of my favorites. I'll read just about anything though- I'm generally pretty open to reading any type of story if someone asks me to.

8) Is there anything you would like to say to the readers of this interview?

Well first off, thanks for taking the time to read this! If they're up for it, I'd absolutely love it if they checked out Tomorrow Could be One Day Too Late and my other story True Love is Blind. As always, I wouldn't be anywhere without my lovely readers- I owe everything to them!
