The questions Roman asked me weren't even relevant to Jayden's death. He asked me about things regarding the Con Rồng that I obviously wouldn't even know, but when I tried to explain there was no way I had the answers to any of his questions he would get mad at me, which lead to volt after volt of electricity being pumped through my body, frying my nerves for hours on end as he continued to insult Kailas while torturing me. When I fought back they tied me against the cot and held me down as they shot the Taser bolts into my arms, legs, stomach and chest, flicking the switch after every question. After a while they didn't even wait for me to try and answer the question, just asked me before immediately turning the Taser on.

Somehow through the agony of it all I wondered why no one had come down to check what was happening, because I was screaming loud enough to ruin everyone's ear drums; then I remembered the walls of the cellar were sound proof due to the fact criminals were usually held down here. No one could hear me; I was on my own.

I don't know when I finally passed out from exhaustion and pain, but when I woke up that familiar headache was still there, and the voices I heard were mumbled and hazy. All I really comprehended was how angry the voices were, screaming, yelling, cursing, but I couldn't concentrate enough to make out what exactly they were saying. I was in far too much pain.

A shuddering breath left me with a groan, cringing and whimpering as the movement sent phantom shocks of electricity through my limbs. A warm hand pressed against my forehead, brushing at my bangs as someone else undid the hand cuffs that held my wrists and ankles against the cot. The hand left my head and was replaced by arms sliding beneath me, one around my shoulders and one beneath my knees.

My head fell back when I was picked up, hanging as I didn't have the energy to hold myself up. There were a few more moments of angry conversation before I was moving, carried in strong arms that I was too dizzy to recognize or confirm were safe. I wanted to sleep, but I wanted to wake up, yet the headache, the pain, all of my nerves were literally fried and my body was numb with horrid pinpricks of feeling in my hands and feet like my limbs had fallen asleep.

I was up in the air for a while before my back was laid on something soft, much softer and more comfortable than the cot in my cell, and a sigh left my lips as my head lolled against the pillow. Whatever bed I was on sank down on my left to signal someone had sat down beside me, and the angry voices had settled to something terse but much calmer, making it easier for me to attempt concentration.

"I'm killing him."

"Please calm down-."

"No, don't tell me to calm down, that bastard has gone too far!"

Arthur and Cass, it took me a moment to recognize them, but when I figured it out I relaxed even more into the bed I was in, humming when the comforting calloused fingers on my jaw stroked across my cheek, peeling my eyes open so I could see Kailas sitting beside me and leaning over me. His eyes were blood shot and he looked paler than he should have been, but he was alive, he didn't look hurt, that was all I cared about.

My eyes closed again when I was satisfied and Kailas called over to Arthur, "He's awake. Kind of."

"Good," Arthur sighed, his steps leading closer, "Here, he needs to drink this, it will help him."

"Hm," Kailas' hand wrapped around the back of my neck and propped my head up a little, and the warm porcelain edge of a cup pressed against my lips, "Demi, drink."

I parted my lips a little, opening my mouth as much as my exhaustion allowed, and Kailas tipped the cup so something warm could pour into my mouth and wash across my tongue. My face instantly pinched up and my lips closed so some of the medicine spilled across my chin instead of in my mouth, Kailas held my mouth closed with a firm hold on my jaw.
