As soon as expected, the rain pelted down, more than that it was raining stair rods with violent windstorm. Much as he had closed the window, Xia Yao still heard all the sounds outside. Heavy drops of water were pounding on the windowsill, pounding till Xia Yao felt butterflies in his stomach, pounding as if there were shiny little sparks flying.
He made for the window, furiously looking outside.
It would have been easier if there had been only rain but no roaring wind and fierce storm like this. The umbrella in Yuan Zong's hand was so tattered that it was barely possible to make out its original shape.
"Get into your car, dammit!" Xia Yao roared in anger.
Nonetheless, not only did the said man fail to shoo Yuan Zong away but he also caught his mom's attention.
"What's the matter, son?"
Xia Yao temporarily calmed his breath, calling out to the door, "I'm OK."
"The lightning's striking, shut the window firmly."
"Alright."
Having said that, Xia Yao didn't close the window but forcefully opened it.
