I was disappointed. I'm not even going to lie. I was very disappointed. Here I was, ready for Liam to whisk me away on some romantic getaway so we could....you know! But instead, we spent the next week and a half in his house spending "quality time together" as Liam called it. Don't get me wrong, it was so sweet being with him and enjoying the little things about each other, but I was growing more and more ready for him as the days wore on. Heck, I was even considering dropping my term that it couldn't happen in his bed. I just wanted him.

We were sitting on the couch in his living room. I was reading War and Peace and Liam was reading some other book that I paid no attention to.

Usually, I was pretty good at remaining focused on what I was reading, but Liam's body was pressed up right next to me, and it was hard not to recognize how warm he was. I kept having to read the same paragraph over and over again, but even after the seventh time reading it, I was still in the dark. I turned the page so that Liam didn't get suspicious.

He switched the book from his right hand to his left and rested it on top of my left hand. He traced it with his fingers, gently tickling me, and thus making me more distracted. He flipped my hand over and traced my palm, sending weird chills through my body. I snuck a glance at him out of the corner of my eye and saw him grinning at his book. He knew how he was making me feel, and he seemed to be enjoying himself.

I turned my attention back to my book and felt his eyes on me, so I glanced back at him and saw him smiling at me, so I smiled back with a blush on my cheeks. He let out a small laugh when he looked away and continued to play with my hand.

And then I couldn't take it anymore and grabbed his hand with mine.

"Are you trying to drive me insane?!"

He closed his book and threw his head back with a laugh. "Was it working?"

I rolled my eyes and went back to my book, trying to keep up my angry facade.

Liam laughed again and pulled me into him and threw the book out of my hands. "I have a question to ask you."

I turned and looked up at him, eager for his words. "Yes?"

He smiled and took the hair tie out of my hair so that it was down and he could play with my curly locks. "Well, I was talking to Niall this morning while you were in the shower, and he said that Sage wanted to get away for a while before the wedding."

I raised an eyebrow. "And they want us to house-sit for them?"

He laughed and shook his head. "No they invited us and Harry and Aden to go with them, like a couples getaway of some sort."

I kind of leaned away from him. "What about Louis and Zayn? Won't they feel left out?"

He shrugged. "Niall said that he asked them, but they didn't want to be surrounded by a bunch of couples."

I grinned. "So where are we going?"

Liam mirrored my face. "Niall and his other friends like to go to Spain a lot, so he's very familiar with the place, so they were thinking of going there."

I looked up at Liam nervously. "What do you think?"

He took my hand again and smiled gently. "If you're ready."

I stretched up to kiss him. "When do we leave?"

"Emma, you're riding with us!" Aden called from the passenger seat of a black Sedan parked in front of Liam's house. I could see Sage behind the wheel and waved at them. I guessed the guys were in the vehicle behind them.

Liam brought out the last of our luggage and stood next to me. "So I take it that I'll see you in Spain?"

I laughed and gave him a tight hug. "I'll miss you."
