Chantal's P.O.V.

I can't believe this.

They tricked me once again.

I can't do anything but to follow whatever they want me to do, they're the ones who know everything that's happening behind my back. I don't know why they're doing this... but I need to know why. At least, they should know how hard it is for me to stay with someone who doesn't even want me to be his. They should've let him reject me. At least, I know that in that way, we could be happy in our own separate lives. Why can't they just let me be happy for once? I want to live my life finding the right one for me. No mating bond, just pure love. At least, that's all i'm asking for.

I can't do anything, they should know if i'm doubting them or not. I sat on the table in the kitchen, my mom looked at me before she proceeded to cut the vegetables. She's cooking for breakfast. I wanted to question her right here, right now. This is the perfect place since there's no other person inside the kitchen, I know my mom is trying to read my mind but I built up a wall in my mind link, preventing her from doing so.

"Where's Blake?" I asked Ilayda softly, I played with my fingers and stared at the empty glass in front of me. I knew my mom wouldn't answer me the right one because he's still probably knocked out because of the wolves bane they injected in our system.

"I don't know, I can't smell him" The wolves bane must've worn off, usually the alpha's blood are stronger than most wolf royalties so that might explain why Daniel, his wolf quickly came back he was able to fight the poison. I was glad because they didn't decided to inject us with liquid silver because that might fully kill our wolves.

"He had a run, he knew it" I uttered, completely blank. I don't know what's happening now. Alpha Yunho and Luna Boa entered the kitchen but I didn't greet them nor made any eye contact, I just smelled their scent which is very rare for me to do. I just don't want to see them for today, not until I know why they're knocking Blake and mine's wolf down and letting us mate almost each night. I know this is only the second time but i'm sure, they're planning to do it again.

"Dad, why can't I smell her?" The out of the blue, Kaiser came inside the kitchen, with his red eyes glaring right at his past alpha's blue ones. He grabbed his dad's collar and lifted him in the air, everyone was in a state of shock. No one ever did that to their past alpha, somehow he was still his father and the one who managed to bring him everything he wants.

"Kaiser, calm down" Luna Boa took a step and held her son's arm, the latter one stopped and stared wearily at her. He was lost, devastated and broken.

"How can I calm down if my mate is missing!" I closed my eyes as I heard them raising their voices again, it suddenly reminded me of the war when I lost my sister in my arms. I wanted to cry but Kaiser's raging wolf is still angry.

"He''s not your mate! Now stop acting like she really is!" Alpha Yunho snapped back, he had the right to get mad, he had the right to be an alpha in front of him, but he doesn't have the right to decide if Chandria is really Kaiser's mate. He doesn't know anything.

"She is my mate and I will prove that to you! I just need to see her"

"See her and what? Scare her? Mark her again like the last time you did?"

"Don't you dare tell me that she should be yours nor she is your mate, remember this"

"You're not supposed to have a mate!" What? A wolf is not supposed to have a mate? Kaiser is not supposed to have a mate? Why? I could hear Corbin, his wolf, whimperring in their link. Ilayda told me that once a luna and the alpha had already finished the mating bond, the luna will be able to read everyone's mind and thoughts that's why she told me to practice controlling everything. With that outburst, Alpha Yunho stormed out of the pack house with an imaginable speed.

"Yunho" Luna Boa dashed out, following her mate outside. I stared at Kaiser who was still crying and raging in anger,I know what he's feeling right now. he wanted to find his mate, he wanted to find Chandria, even though his dad kept on telling him that they're not mates. It's my first time witnessing a very rare marking, a wolf not marking his real mate and it seems like he was forcing it. His head then snapped at me which made me a bit nervous, he knows that i'm the last person who was with Chandria.

"Where is she?" He asked, standing up and looked at me with pleading eyes. His eyes were now ecru brown.

"I'm sorry Kaiser, but I don't know where she is. Luna Boa just told me that she was with her real mate" I explained everything I know, but it seems like he's telling himself that i'm just lying. Corbin, his wolf wanted to know the truth.

"Please, you need to help me. I need to find her" he started kneeling in front of me and all I wanted to do now is to cry, he was broken. Much more broken than me.

"Believe me, I wanted to help you. And I will find a way at least, but you need to help me too" I need to know what you are.

"I don't understand what's happening here, why were yours and Ethan's eyes red? What are you?" I asked him, he trembled a bit. he was nervous, he wanted to tell me something but there's something preventing him so.

"I need to find my mate Chantal" He pleaded again.

"Why are you not supposed to have a mate? I need to know why Kaiser, I could help you, just please"

"I need her" Tears we still continuously flowing from his eyes as he held my hand, I gasped silently when his cold hand molded with mine. Something is definitely wrong. I stopped talking to him and he must've noticed that, he raised his head as I finally saw his eyes. They were gold... but theres a touch of red. I flinched in shock and took a step back, my heart started thumping erratically, my head started spinning knowing that I still couldn't take everything. This is too much, I need to know the truth. Kaiser stood up and hastily transformed into his ecru brown wolf and ran off.

"Kaiser-" I was about to run after him when a hand held my shoulders, from his scent I knew who he was. For sure he knows something about their red eyes, something is wrong in this family. They're not just wolves, they're someone I still couldn't figure out. They're something I couldn't think of, something dangerous and all. I must know what's happening here. I couldn't just get controlled, I'm going to rebel against them.

"Let him, he needs to run" Luhan whispered behind me, his hand was cold and even his skin is white. It looks paler than mine, and since it's summer, he shouldn't have that kind of temperature. What are you?
