Orphic (adj.)- mysterious and entrancing, beyond ordinary understanding.
I walk on the sidewalk, making my way towards the bookstore hearing rain pattering on the pavement around me. After I left the bookstore yesterday and went home, I laid in bed replaying the encounter with Grey eyes in my head over and over again.
To say I was proud of myself was an understatement. I was fully aware i could have pulled the "I own his joint" much earlier instead of having him up in my face, but I really just wanted him to get all of his comments out before I hit him with it.
The look on his face was proof enough that I had set the record straight and me and Erin had a laugh about it all night, he had disappeared from the book store without my notice so there wasn't much else to say.
As I pull the door to the book store open I see Erin rushing around with the new stock of books we got this morning.
"There you are! I've been trying to get these in the shelves for hours you terd ball, get over here and help me." Erin says exasperatedly. Feeling slightly guilty I didn't show up earlier I set my things down and got cracking because if not done right, this shit can actually take forever.

"I knew this one would be a bitch to do" I say to myself as I reach to get the last book on the highest part of the book shelf. After organizing and stacking all the new arrivals by title and that were, lucky for me, mostly on the bottom shelf, I was on the final book that just happens to require me being as tall as a fucking sky scraper.
Jumping up, I finally get it resting in its place on the bookshelf, just as my feet hit the ground, the book came falling back down on my head like a loose brick and proceeded to fall on to the ground.
Pain, holy fucking shit balls, pain.
"FLIPPIN NARD BALLS" I yell as I grip my head trying to get the pain to stop blossoming from my head to my cranium. I stand there taking deep breaths trying to compose my self as someone comes up behind me, grabs the book, and comes a lil to close as they easily slip the book in its place.
I turn around, hand still on my head, as I'm chest to chest with the one and only, Grey eyes. I make a mental note to get his name as I see amusement hug his features. "Nard balls?" he says, a chuckle escaping while a smirk follows. I feel a blush creep up my face as break eye contact. "I mean I could have came a lot earlier, i was standing behind you but when the book came down to make an entrance I had to wait to see the reaction and i gotta tell you it was worth it," This time he was full on laughing.
My head snaps back and I look at him in shock,"Seriously?! You saw me struggling literally the whole time and you didn't think to help? You are unbelievable!" I say throwing my arms up and flailing them around, "You know your abnormal height could have helped out ALOT." I state with my hand on my hip, he just shrugs it off.
I then remember that I still had to get this guys name, after all, how could we become great friends without being on first name basis amirate? "Hey you know I never got your name," I say with a wide smile on my face, "I'm Eliza Parker, and you are?" He stares at my outstretched hand.
"Fitz-Gerald, Grayson Fitz-Gerald." He says, stuffing his hands in his pockets, completely ignoring my warm gesture.
"Ok James Bond, I mean the hand shake was just a friendly gestu- wait, your names Grayson?" I say in shock, no no he's gotta be kidding.
"Uh yeah?" He says looking slightly uncomfortable.
"No way!" I say with a laugh, "That TOTALLY fits you!! I literally called you Grey eyes before I knew your name and you know you're all like dark and mysterious, like the colour!!"
