The Doctor's Patient (A JeMik Story)

I woke up with Jeron right beside me. I checked the time on my phone and it's already 8am, Philippine time.

I slowly got up from bed, picked up my clothes and started wearing it. Then I dialed Ara's number in my phone.

"Saan daw tayo pupunta today?" I asked on the other line.

"Good morning to you too, Miks." I rolled my eyes. "Maganda siguro ang gising mo, ano? I can see you smile tho." Tumingin tingin ako sa paligid.

She sounded strange. Malay ko ba kung nag install siya ng camera dito sa kwarto. Oh my! She saw everything?

"Don't overthink and look for me. It's just my gut feel." I sighed.

"Ayus ayusin mo kasi, Victonara!" Inis kong sabi.

"Okay okay, I'll stop now." She laughed. "Do you know this place called McKinley Hall around Taguig? Is it Taguig? Well, basta! They says that it looks like little Venice so we'll probably go there." Page explain niya.

"With who? Do we have a tour guide? Alalahanin mo, it's been years since we last visited the Philippines. Hindi na natin kabisado 'to ha."

"Oh yeah, about that. Of course someone would accompany us. He's actually Justine's friend.." she explained a little more before hanging up the phone.

Naligo ako at nag bihis. Inuna ko na iyon bago gisingin si Jeron dahil alam kong kailangan niyang bumawi sa tulog. They've been traveling around the country for six weeks. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang feeling nun pero alam kong nakakapagod.

Sa flight pa nga lang namin pauwi dito sa Pilipinas ay napagod na ako. Pano pa kaya siya na kung saan saan pumupunta? Walang pahinga.

"Je.. Je wake up." Wika ko at umupo sa tabi niya para gisingin siya.

I was surprised dahil mabilis lang pala siyang gisingin. He opened his eyes right after I call his name.

"How long did I sleep?" Tanong niya at kinusot ang mata.

"8 hours." Sagot ko.

"Hmm, that's enough." Nagulat siya nang makita akong bihis na bihis. Ahh. Kagigising lang pala niya. "Kanina ka pa nagising?" I nodded.

"I woke up at 8. May pupuntahan daw tayo ngayon. I fixed myself and didn't wake you up because I believe that what you need right now is to cuddle with the bed." Ngumiti siya nang marinig iyon.

"You're very considerate. Pwede na pala kitang pakasalan." He smirked at hinampas ko nalang ng mahina sa braso.

Ang aga aga eh naglalandi.

"I'll go to my room for now. See you later then." He kissed me on the forehead at nag paalam na. Lumabas siya ng kwarto ko at suot suot ang glasses niya.

After about ten minutes ay lumabas na ako sa room para bumaba at mag breakfast. Sa resto doon ay naabutan ko sa isang round table sina Ara, Justine, Kianna kasama ang dalawang hindi pamilyar na tao.

"Finally! Miks, have a seat, please." Offer ni Ara at pinaupo ako sa tabi niya.

"Okay. Let's start with the formalization. Mika, we'd like you to meet Kib, and his girlfriend Camille. They'll accompany us with our trip." Pagpapakilala ni Justine sa dalawang hindi pamilyar na tao.

But the girl looks familiar. It feels like i've seen her somewhere.

"Yes, you did." Did I say that out loud?! "She's Cienne's twin sister. Remember Doctor Cienne Cruz from Gretchen's Hospital?"

"Oh! I see! Kaya pala parang pamilyar ka. Are you a Doctor too?" Tanong ko kay Camille.

"Nope. I'm into fashion design. Si Cienne lang talaga ang nahiwalay ng landas at nag Doktor. Well, don't get me wrong ha." She joked.
