Prim's POV
I walk slowly into the evaluation room.
The game maker and other officials are standing around a table.
Eating. Classic. People in 12 are starving on the streets, and these people have enough food to eat to death. I silently make my way to the rack with the bows and arrows. I grab a set of arrows and a bow.
Walking up to the targets, I turn to all of them. They are still eating, and talking about how good the food is.
I clear my throat, waiting for the to turn to me.
One guy turns and then taps another's shoulder. It goes on until they are all looking at me.
Finally a man with grey hair, and a chubbier frame says,
"Katniss?"
The way he says it freaks me out. Like he's so sure of himself. I swallow and then say,
"Prim. It's Prim, actually."
He looks at me for a second.
Looking as confused as I feel.
Finally he breaks his gaze and speaks again.
"Ah yes. Prim Mellark. I've heard great things about you."
A few minutes ago I couldn't get these guys to even glance at me, now they are all staring at me intently. Looking like they are searching for something, like they expect something.
"Now, what do you have to show us?"
A man with light brown hair says in the back.
I stand there for a second, then say,
"I um, I shoot arrows at stuff."
The guy with the grey hair laughs,
"Just like her mother."
My eyes widen.
How the hell does he know my mother?
"Plutarch hush." A girl in the back says.
Plutarch?
Who the hell is Plutarch? And why does that name sound so familiar?
"Whenever you are ready, Miss Mellark." The woman says, in an encouraging tone.
I give the Plutarch a skeptic look again, then walk towards the first target.
I aim, feeling them staring at me.
Then I let the arrow go, and it hit the middle of the target.
I hear clapping and look back at the  people.
"Bravo!" Plutarch screams, smiling from ear to ear.
Instead of anyone telling him to be quiet this time, they all laugh.
I shake my head in confusion, then go on to the next target.
I hit about six more, then put the arrows and bow back.
I look back at all the people, and see they have gone back to eating.
I role my eyes.
Then say,
"Thank you for your consideration."
I walk out, still trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
