tight. He kissed Dean's neck softly, brushing light fingers over his arms. "It's gonna be okay," he whispered into Dean's ear. "I'm here for you." Though he knew Dean probably didn't hear him, he had to say it. Maybe Dean's unconscious would pick it up and when he'd wake up he'd know Castiel wasn't going to leave, no matter what it was. Castiel didn't care if whatever Lisa had told Dean would affect his life, as long as Dean was going to be alright it was fine. He took the extra blanket and carefully put it over Dean. "We can fix this." Dean hummed, body relaxing the more Castiel talked and caressing his skin. He closed his eyes, breathing in Dean's somewhat earthy but sweet scent. When Castiel woke up, Dean was still in his arms, snoring lightly. It had gotten dark outside, which meant he'd been sleeping for quite a while now. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and check his messages, one was from Sam the other from Gabriel. Sam's read, 'Is Dean with you? Sorry to hear about Lisa.' Castiel frowned. Why was he sorry? Why did he know? He looked at Dean, whose face was relaxed and he even had a small smile on his lips. He ignored the urge to shake him awake and ask him about Lisa. Castiel had told himself to wait and he would. Gabriel's message read, 'Staying at Sam's. Mary made apple pie. Mom and dad will come home today, hope you locked your room ;)' Castiel pricked his ears, trying to make out any sounds coming from downstairs. There was nothing, or at least nothing he could hear. Dean moved, turning on his other side and facing Castiel. He smiled, eyes still half closed. "I like waking up to his." Dean purred and snuggled up against Castiel. "You're so warm." Dean looked so young and fluffy and innocent, it melted Castiel's heart. He grasped his cheek and tilted it up to make the quick kiss less awkward. "You snore." Castiel grinned. "You woke me up. I'm not sure if I can sleep with you ever again." Dean wiggled his brows suggestively at that and rolled on his back, pulling Castiel on top of him. "You know," Dean said. "We shouldn't go to school for a few days. Just take the Impala and drive, drive, drive. We could sleep in motels, have cheap gas station food and make out whenever we want." Dean pushed Castiel's hair back. "We could just escape from the world for a few days, enjoy our time together, because we never know how long this last." His voice broke, turning into something sad. "Life is shit, you know? I wanna make the most of it." Castiel worried his bottom lip between his teeth as he listened to Dean's little speech. It scared him. Why was he thinking about the end when things just started getting real? Sure, Castiel would love to spend several days with Dean, doing all the stuff he'd said. He opened his mouth to say something back. "Lisa's gonna die." Dean breathed and Castiel felt his heart shrink. They were quiet for what felt like hours, days, years. Castiel didn't know what to say. He'd thought that maybe Lisa was carrying Dean's child or wanted him back or whatever, but THIS? He hadn't expected this. It felt surreal. He wanted to ask why, what she had, but no words left his lips. Dean had closed his eyes, waiting for whatever Castiel was about to say. Castiel knew that Dean and Lisa used to be in a relationship, so Dean must've had feelings for her. Maybe he still had feelings for her. After all, you could love someone, but not want to be with them. The fact that Lisa was going to die might change things. Not only between her and Dean, but between Castiel and Dean as well. "I'm sorry to hear that." Castiel finally said and rolled off Dean. "I know you used to love her and it's okay if you wanna go back to her and spend time with her until she .. you know." Castiel tried hard to hold his tears
