Thalea Stones: a Code Lyoko FanFic

Chapter 9

Well, after some urging from fellow Lyokofan @andrew161998, I decided to continue this story. Whoop-dee-do.

But there are a few things you should know:

1). the updates on this will probably be really slow as I have other books going.

2). this could get discontinued again... if I can't get the writing style back. I don't know if I've improved, exactly, but I've definitely changed.

3). it's also going to look (slightly) more professional.

4). it's probably going to get less and less like the regular episodes, because I want to unravel the mysteries of Aelita and Thalea's past and I have more to figure out.

5). so, if you have anything to say other than, "This is awesome! Please update!", or something along those lines, feel free (actually, don't feel free. Just do it. Because I'm sure you're thinking something).

Well! I'm actually really excited to get back into the world of Thalea and the Lyokowarriors!! ☺

Jeremy's POV

"It's as if they've vanished off the face of Lyoko!" Jeremy exclaimed.

"What do you mean?" Ulrich asked, from Lyoko.

"I don't know, one minute they were there and the next they're gone!" He put his face in his hands. "I don't know what to do!"

"I'm sure everything's fine, Jeremy," Yumi said.

Jeremy bit his lip and looked back at the computer screen. It was so weird... he couldn't find a trace of them anywhere.

"What happens now, Einstein?" Odd asked.

"I don't know... just, stay put and I'll figure something out."

But Jeremy was convincing himself just as much as he was the others.

"That's it! I've got a signal!" Jeremy exclaimed. "But they're not on this sectors... they're not on any of the sectors! It's like they're on a sector that... doesn't exist-a fifth sector!"

"What do you mean?" Odd asked.

"I don't know! If I could only get this thing to work..."

Jeremy looked through the supercomputer, clicking anything he thought could help.

"Aha!" he crowed. Then he looked closer, reading the words on the screen. "Welcome to Carthage?"

Aelita's POV

Aelita and Thalea sat up on a smooth white and blue striped floor. They looked at each other. "Where are we?" Aelita wondered.

"I have no idea." Thalea looked around the enormous, high-ceilinged, white and blue room.

Then the floor started to spin.

Aelita and Thalea stood up simultaneously. And then a slim door, bursting with bright white light opened.

They ran inside.

Odd's POV

Odd flew around on his overboard, touching down next to Ulrich and Yumi.

"Will this take long?" Yumi asked.

"I... don't know," Jeremy's voice admitted from the real world. "Just try to stay here."

"Too late now," Odd said. "Things are starting to buzz here!"

Indeed they were. A swarm of Hornets appeared suddenly.

Ulrich pulled out his saber. They all got on their vehicles and started to counter the Hornets' attack.

"Jeremy! Hurry up!" Yumi cried to him.

Jeremy's POV

"It has to be something..." Jeremy scratched his head. "Carthage... Carthage... the Punic Wars..."

"Jeremy, no time for a history lesson!" Ulrich yelled.

Jeremy knew they were doing their best to fight the Hornets. He could hear their grunts and gasps from the real world.

"A history lesson! That's it!"

He looked through the book he'd found at Franz Hopper's house.

"No... that has to be too easy..."

He looked at the screen. They'd managed to kills few monsters, and none of them had been devirtualized-yet.

"Hannibal?" Jeremy typed it in. "No... His father? General??"

Nope. None of them were the password. Ugh, this is so frustrating...

"The nemesis of Carthage? Rome?" He typed that in.

"No! Gah!" he threw up his hands in frustration. "Think, think... you have to go in to Carthage... defeat it... That's it! Who defeated Carthage?" He thought for a moment, and then it came to him. "Scipio!" He typed it in as quickly as he could. "Come on, come on..."

Password accepted, said the screen.

"Yes!" Jeremy pumped his fist in the air.

Ulrich's POV

"Jeremy! How are things?" Ulrich yelled.

"Good!" came his voice out of nowhere.

Ulrich stabbed another Hornet. They were doing alright, but they couldn't hold them off much longer. They were overpowering them.

And then suddenly, the Hornets disappeared, and a white ball materialized out of nowhere.

"That's it-I think!" Jeremy called.

They got off their Vehicles and the white ball engulfed them.

Thalea's POV

The twins ran through the unknown, looking for a way out, something, anything.

Then they crossed paths with a strange monster.

"What is that?" Aelita exclaimed, quaking in terror.

"I think I'll call it a Creeper," Thalea replied. "But let's not stay around to see if it likes its new name."

"Run!" Aelita agreed.

They came to another room, like the others, oddly shaped and bright.

Then a horrifying tentacled creature appeared. And then another.

"Okay... now I'm worried," Thalea said. She tried to summon her daggers, but, entrapped in the monster's gaze, she couldn't. She couldn't use her laser vision either.

Then she saw the Creeper behind them.

They were trapped.

Yumi's POV

The room they landed in was large and plain, with striped floors and ceilings. Yumi looked around at it all. It was pretty cool.

"Ohhh..." Odd groaned, clutching his stomach.

"I think this is bad news," Jeremy said. "Something to do Franz Hopper."

"Okay, Jeremy." They made their way to another room, through a sliver of white space.

Then two monsters came forward on long, skinny legs...

...And another two long jellyfish-like things, holding Aelita and Thalea.

Yumi readied her fans.

"Impact!" Ulrich cried, stabbing the first two both with his saber.

Yumi threw her fans at the jelyfish thing, and Odd shot several Laser Arrows at them.

Aelita and Thalea dropped to the floor.

They all took a deep breath. "Safe," Odd said, helping Thalea up.

Yumi looked down at the floor, which had started to feel like it was moving. "No, we're not!"

Jeremy's voice came from the air. "Guys, I think there's a time limit. You probably have to press a button or something..."

"Got it, Jeremy," Ulrich said. They ran through the room in search of that something.

"There!" Thalea cried. She ran up and pressed it just as Jeremy said, "two more seconds...!"

"We'll have to get Aelita back to Lyoko now," Yumi said. "Let's go."

Thalea's POV

"So," Jeremy said, when they were back in his dorm in the real world, "what was it like?"

"It was great!" Odd said, and launched into a full description of Carthage.

"I can't believe that thing was trying to steal our memories," Aelita shuddered.

Thalea nodded. It was one if the scariest moments of her life; just feeling helpless and vulnerable like that.

"I wonder what XANA wants with you," Jeremy mused. "We need to find out..."

"I can't wait to go back," Ulrich said.

"I'll go with you. It'll be awesome." Yumi and he shared a grin.

"Wait, not so fast!" Jeremy said. "I have to study it first. For now, it's uncharted territory. Which means, it's totally dangerous!"

Aelita looked at Jeremy. "You're not... mad at me, are you? I don't know why I did it. It was stupid of me."

Jeremy smiled gently at her. "I understand, Aelita. I'm not angry. I need to spend more time with you."

"Yeah!" Odd said. "If you want me to teach you to insult Sissi-"

Just then, Sissi walked in. "Odd, do you know what your dog did in the shower today-Oh! What a pretty picture! So you finally found Mrs. Einstein!"

Odd growled.

"Yeah, while you were taking your third shower of the day!" Ulrich glared at her.

"Well, Ulrich, a beautiful flower like me has to be watered often."

"Yes, who knows! Maybe you'll even sprout a brain!" Aelita quipped.

Everyone but Sissi laughed. "Looks like she'll be reaching you, Odd!" Thalea said, smiling at him.

Sissi fumed, and walked away. And the rest of them kept laughing.

What would you guys say to me changing the tense to present (That would mean, instead of, Yumi thought they were in danger and ran outside, it would be, Yumi thinks that they're in danger and runs outside...)???? TELL MEH!!!!
