Name Calling

"I can feel him looking at me," I muttered to Colt as we left our first class.

"I know," he replied. "But you need to calm down. The last thing we need right now is another... incident."

I scowled. "I'm aware but if he keeps glaring at me like that then I'm going to light him on fire!"

I heard a growl sound behind me letting me know that Derek could hear us. "He's coming over," Colt warned softly. "Calm thoughts."

I turned around with a glare. "Quit following us!" I snapped at the angry wolf, his buddy shook his head at me.

"Then tell me your name," Derek demanded.

"First name, Get, last name Lost," I answered with a snarl. "Get lost."

"Nikita," Colt warned.

I whirled on him. "Great now he knows my name. Way to go, Colt!"

My brother smirked and patted me on the head. "You're welcome. I'm going to head to our next class. Catch up with me when you're done pissing off the powerful werewolf."

"No, don't leave me alone with him! Colt! And he's gone. Great." I turned back to Derek with a forced smile.

"Nikita," he said, sending shivers through the Bond. Stupid Bond.

"Meathead," I replied sweetly, earing myself a growl. "Let's cut to the chase shall we? You think I'm your mate‒which I am not. Now we could go back and forth on this issue or you could just accept the fact that you've made a mistake."

"Derek!" someone called before he could get a chance to answer me.

I watched silently as a girl with dirty blonde hair and blue-green eyes made her way through the crowd and stopped to stand beside Derek. I felt a pang of pity for her. The way she stood, orientated towards Derek, they were dating. The Bond wanted me to feel jealous at the prospect, it wanted me to be aggressive towards her but I shoved it back. She had no clue what was going on right now, and more importantly in this little scene I would be the other person. If anyone should get aggressive and jealous it should be her towards me.

"Hi," she said, looking at me. "I'm Karen."

I did my best to give her a kind smile while still glaring at Derek. "Nikita. And I must be going."

"No," Derek growled grabbing my shoulder.

I instantly reached up and jabbed my thumb into his inner elbow hitting his pressure point and causing him to jerk his arm away in pain. "Don't touch me again," I warned icily.

Karen's eyes widened. She was in the same pack and Derek and his buddy. I guess one of them told her the 'situation'. "You're his mate," she said, a hint of sadness creeping into her voice.

I couldn't help but feel guilty. She just seemed so nice! Still I had a denial thing going on so I said, "I'm not his mate, but I am going to be late if I don't get going."

Derek for the second or third time today invaded my personal space with an angry scowl etched onto his face. "First, you are going to apologized for the elbow thing," he ordered.

Karen and new guy both bow their heads. He didn't. He did! Higher pack members had the ability to Command members of their pack. The Commanded wolves were almost forced to do as they were ordered. I felt a wave of red hot rage course through me. He tried to use his little doggy Command on me.

I could feel the fire burning in my chest, wanting to come out. I spun on my heel and almost ran down the hall to get away from him. I didn't care that people were giving me weird looks or that I'd let that overbearing mutt get the last word ‒ well let's not get crazy, I cared about that, I hate letting someone else get the last word, it felt like losing ‒ I just needed to get to Colt.
