Harry gulped, running a hand through his hair to calm his erratic beating down. He wiped the sweat gathering around his brow and willed his legs to move forward and his finger to press the door bell. There were a million thoughts circulating around his brain but everything just stopped at the words Zayn had last spoken to him.

'Take care of him.'

How? How am I supposed to take care of someone whose heart and soul and body belongs to you, you fucking prick? The brunette cursed mentally,  gritting his teeth together before closing his eyes shut, his mind drifting back to the brief conversation he had had with the man he desperately wanted to kill right now.

"Zayn?" Harry gasped, his footsteps quickening as he took in the worn out expression on the Pakistani's face and the bags surrounding him. "W-what are you doing here?" The brunette stuttered, not wanting those words they had exchanged years back to come true. He didn't ever think that Zayn would actually leave.

Maybe he was just going for a long vacation, Harry's conscious reasoned but of course, as much as he tried to calm himself down, it just wouldn't happen.

"I came here because I wanted to hand this to you. For being an amazing friend, even though you have this major crush on my boyfriend." Zayn chuckled, as if the entire situation was normal and he wasn't the guy refusing treatment for cancer.

"Why are these bags here? What's going on?" Harry raised an eyebrow, ignoring the man's attempts at humor. Finally, Zayn sighed, the smile dropping from his face and a grim expression taking over.

"Take this. It's for you and Niall." Zayn mumbled, handing over a brown packet which looked like a large envelope. "The Uber should be here in five minutes. I just wanted to give this to you. There's one in there for Niall too."

"Why do you want me to do your dirty work?  You're leaving him you fucking prick! You didn't even come at his graduation. He kept on looking for you."

"He has to get used to it now. He needs to realize that I won't be there anymore Harry. And I-I need to get used to it too. That's why it's best if I leave when he's not in his greatest moods with me."

"He's never angry with you. You know that. He's just pissed but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you."

"I never said that it does." Zayn smiled, turning around when the cab driver honked. "That's my ride."

"Where are you going?" Harry whispered.

"Somewhere. Travel around England, maybe. Anywhere where Niall won't have to see me at my worst."

"He would understand if you just tell him so." Harry tried.

"Yeah, he will but he'll stay with me and he won't leave. He's nineteen Harry. He's got an entire life ahead of him. He's going off to college and he'll meet so many people there. Who knows, he might even fall in love with one of them. He doesn't need a sick person to hold him down." Zayn mumbled harshly, pushing his bags inside the cab.

"He wouldn't care about those people as much as he does for you."

"That's the problem. I don't want to hold him down." Zayn smiled, opening the back door.  He glanced one last time at Harry.

"You can get treatment. You should have gotten it the moment you realized what you were suffering from!" Harry yelled.

"Would it have worked Harry? I still smoke at times, when Niall doesn't notice. I'm addicted to the shit and I can't quit it. I have Septicemia, which in itself is dangerous and to top it all of there's cancer. Ever Doc said that my chances of survival are 0.1%. I'm not going to be the fool who hopes for the impossible."
