Protected From the Heart
Chapter 1
Louis could feel the thumping of the music reverberate throughout his whole body as another wordless song was played throughout the room of sweaty dancing bodies. Many people held drinks in their hands, the alcohol spilling as they danced, their limbs flew carelessly, as they were clearly intoxicated already. The floor of the club was covered in a layer of sweat and spilt alcohol and Louis pitied whoever had the job of cleaning it up each morning.
Throwing his head back and downing another whiskey shot, Louis felt the familiar numbness and buzz of the alcohol in his system. The numb feeling provided comfort for him as he approached the crowd of sweaty dancing people in the middle of the club. His eyes narrowed in on a girl wearing a skin-tight black dress that hardly contained her breasts as she grinded against another man. Her wavy dark hair cascaded down her exposed back, reaching just below her shoulder blades. The length of the dress left little to the imagination and Louis felt a wave of disgust, wondering what her parents would say if they saw her here dressed like that. Nevertheless, she would provide Louis with the perfect image, and so he approached her.
“You're an alright dancer, babe.” Louis complimented in a low tone, taking the place of the man she was dancing with before. Louis received a glare from her previous companion, but the girl in the black dress didn't mind as she took in Louis' appearance. He was dressed simply in black skinny jeans and a black shirt, but he knew his body was pleasing for her to see. He grabbed her hips as she bent forward slightly, rubbing her barely-covered bum against his crotch. Louis knew she was going to be easy enough and so he moved his mouth to her ear.
“This club is getting pretty boring, don't you think?” he whispered, his breath gently caressing the skin of her neck, causing goosebumps to ripple across her skin. “My driver is just out the front and my hotel is only a few blocks away,” he continued, and she turned around, giving Louis a nod and a wink.
“Sounds good,” her sickeningly feminine voice spoke and Louis chuckled, grabbing her hand and leading her through the sweaty bodies to the doors of the club. As Louis exited the club with the girl on his arm, they were met with the flash of multiple cameras and the buzz of paparazzi's questions. Louis growled and flipped them off, his anger causing his face to flush red. He dragged the girl quickly towards the black car he identified as Sam's, his bodyguard, receiving an incredulous look from the woman whose arm he was holding in what would appear to be a somewhat aggressive manner, though he was sure to be gentle.
“What just happened?” she demanded, her voice shrill, as Louis opened the back door of the car, ushering her inside. Climbing in behind her, Louis avoided her question by pulling her onto his lap and crashing his lips forcefully against her, hoping she would forget what just happened. Louis' bodyguard Sam doesn't even need to ask Louis where they would be headed, as he has learnt that each and every girl he brings to the car is destined to be given the mediocre tour of whatever the hotel was that they were to stay in. He wordlessly pulls away from the curb, stealing a quick glance in the rearview mirror to see the nameless girl sucking ferociously at Louis' neck as Louis looks almost bored.
The drive is quick and soon enough, Sam pulls up outside the lavish hotel. A small group of teenage girls are huddled together, obviously awaiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite boyband. Louis' expression becomes stone-cold as he notices the young girls, who, in turn, had noticed the dark tinted windows and were squinting their eyes in hopes that they could make out who was sat in the back seat; praying it would be a member of One Direction. Sam hops out of the car and opens Louis' door for him, allowing Louis to drag the young woman out of the car behind him, her expression one of pure confusion as the small mob of teenage girls rush closer. The girls had heard the rumours about Louis becoming rude and snobby, but they refused to believe them as the excitement of meeting 1/5 of One Direction buzzed through their body and they inadvertently grinned.
