Chapter 23

Both Austin and Catherine stood up as they saw me come in.

"We need to ask you a favour" they said without even greeting me

"Yeah?" I said before turning to the bartender "double gin and tonic please"

"Will you be my maid of honour" Catherine asked with a huge smile on her face

"Yesss of course!!" I screeched "that would be absolutely amazing girl!!!"

After that everything was so fun, these are two people who really know how to make my day amazing. But i have to prep for Christopher's visit thus i cut the visit a bit short.

When i got back to my and Luke's house I saw Christopher's car already parked right outside. I got out of my car and walked over to his car seeing the same woman that i met with him that one time at the restaurant.
"Hi, how are you" I stuttered remembering how i told her to shut up last time and she just sat there glaring at me as if i killed her sister.

"Kate, hi" Christopher jumped out of the car and came to hug me, he stood next to me at the woman's window "you remember Sarah right" he continued as Sarah geva her best fake smile and i nodded "she's a journalist and i think it would be good for you two to talk about starting a reality show together"

She still sat there with her judgmental eyes looking me up and down before she spoke "yes, i think that you and your sudden husband would make a good reality show since it was all obviously spur of the moment decisions that brought us here today, i want the show to be called failed marriage and you to be the stars of it" she said in some type of posh professional voice

"Failed marriage?" I could barely say the words and i froze for a while

"Well yes, or actually more of the leading up to it, showing our viewers what not to do in a relationship"

I felt like hitting her in the face but i decided to stay calm and humour her "what makes you think that our marriage is doomed?" I may have failed at the sounding calm part but at least i tried

She laughed at me as if she is so much better than me but i am one of the most sought after people in London to say the least and she is just another journalist that I've never heard of "you didn't even know where he was until the paparazzi told you, how is that not doomed"

I turned to Christopher and said "you know i respect you right, and I'll do anything for you but what the hell is goingnon here Christopher? Why would you do this to me? I'm this close to cutting you out of my life right now"

I turned around and sped into my house Christopher running right behind me "Kate, wait!" I held the door open for him so we could talk more private and closed it behind him "it's not what you think!"

"Then tell me Christopher what is happening" i took a deep breath because obviously im not so calm anymore "what would cause someone to do this to their friend?"

He shyed away "kate, i was drunk, it was a few weeks ago and-"

I interrupted him "of course you were drunk, everyone is always drunk, and that makes everything excusable" i said sarcastically

"Kate, please don't do this. I was drunk and she was there so she came on to me and i said no, she wanted a reason as to why i don't want to be with her and i used you as an excuse, i told her that I'm in love with you and then she went on to say that i won't get you since you're happily married and i took that as an oppurtunity to explain why i think you aren't"

I stood there shook and all i could say was "you aren't in love with me, right"

His face turned red and he whispered "I don't know" he took a deep breath and softly continued "when i first saw you at the restaurant being so perfectly imperfect, i didn't realise who you were, i thought you were a poor girl trying to do something with her life, i fell in love with that. Then and there i knew i was going to make you my girl, when i found out you were with none other than luke, it broke me down entirely but i handled it, i started liking you less or at least tried to." He took my face in his hands and put his lips against mine but i pulled away

I really like Christopher and i can see myself spending the rest of my life with him but I'm falling for my husband

"Christopher..." i whispered, my eyes full of tears

"Kate, I'm so sorry" he said shocked

"I think it's time you leave" i heard Luke's voice, i looked over to the door of the room we were in and saw luke standing there with his bags

Christopher stood straight and walked out with confidence but not his normal amount of confidence, a little bit less.

"I'm back Kate" Luke said with a straight face before he left the room

"Luke it's not-" i followed after him

"It's ok Kate, it was never real to begin with" he interrupted maing me freeze

My phone started to ring and in a lost mind i answered it "i can't talk"

I was about to hang up but then i heard Lily's voice "ever since you got with Luke you cut me and Jake off, i think this is goodbye" she hung up in my ear
