Twenty Five

         I wake up on the ground.
"She's awake!" Someone yells
I take deep breaths. I see people crowded around me. I have a breathing mask on.
"What happened?.." I ask tiredly
"A kidnapper. You jumped from the window and knocked yourself out. You got a concussion too." Max says
I rub my head.
"JULIA! ARE YOU OKAY??" Dad asks coming through the crowd.
I nod.
"Oh my lord. The kidnappers have been taken away." He says
I nod. I slowly sit up. Max is sitting on the ground.
"Julia! You're awake! Are you okay?" Ryan asks coming over with Ashley
I nod.
"What happened??" Ashley asks
"All of the sudden..there was a jiggle at the door and it sounded like someone was trying to get in. I grabbed my phone and jumped from the window. I ran to Max and Harvey's. I think someone followed me. Thy somehow got in, I had Max jump first. The door opened to the bedroom So I jumped." I say
"Oh my god.." Ashley says
A paramedic comes over.
"Well honey, I think all you have is a mild concussion." She says
I nod. She takes the breathing mask off of me. I sit there for a minute getting my breath.
"Here let me help you stand up." Ryan says
He helps me up. My head throbs.
"What time is it?" I ask
"5:15." Dad says
I nod
"You were out for a good solid hour." Max says
"I used your phone to call people." He says
"That's fine." I say
"Well we should get home. See what the damage is." Dad says
I nod. I get into the car. I feel tired. I start to drift off to sleep.

I wake up later in my bed. I rub my eyes, and look around. My window is closed and everything seems to be normal. I stumble downstairs. No ones home..
"Hello?" I call
No answer. I check the time at the clock. 5:00pm. Where is everyone? I peak out the window, it's still bright out. My head doesn't pound anymore. Did I dream everything that just happened?? I stick my shoes on and run up the street to Max's house. I pound on the door. It flies open.
"Julia?" Max asks
"Did something happen like 5 minutes ago?" I ask
"No?.." Max trails off
"Like I didn't run to your house because their was robbers at mine." I say
"What?? No..." Max says
"Are you sure?" I ask
"Julia what are you talking about??" Max asks
I sigh.
"Ok so just like an hour and a half ago I didn't come running over here because their was kidnappers at my house. Then they came here we jumped out your window and I hit my head?? Does that recall to you??" I ask
Max thinks for a moment. 
"Well I remember someone knocking on my door then me jumping out the window." Max says
"Yes! That's when I came over and I was trying to hide." I say
"I don't remember you being there though.." max says
"That's weird." I say
I shake my head and start walking back down the driveway.
"Julia." Max calls
I turn around.
"Are you still mad at me?" Max asks
"No." I say
Max nods. I turn back around and walk back to my house.
      When I step back into my house Ashley and Ryan come over to me.
"Julia something really weird just happened." Ashley says
"What??" I ask
"The last thing I remember, I was at home. But then all of the sudden I was back at school." Ashley says
"What?! What do you mean what??" I ask confused
"I don't know it was weird." Ashley says
"I was back at school too we just got home!" Ryan says
I put my hands on my hips. Then I stop and lift my shirt up. The bruises are gone.
"Umm... how are these gone so fast??" I exclaim
"Wait woah." Ashley says
She looks at my hips then my back.
"They're gone." She says
"Ok something's happening. And we need to figure it out." I say
