prologue 2: the knight's brother

After the defeat of the dragon the kingdom returned to normal A five year old boy was practicing his sword skills with a wooden sword A man watched "I know your there big brother" he said the man laughed walking over

"nice work Dominic you could become a great knight or an explorer" he said patting the boy's messy hair

"I want to see the world" Dominic said happily

his brother nodded "good then this gift would be weird" he said handing Dominic a box he started jumping "go ahead" his brother chuckled watching Dominic opening the box. Dominic smiled looking at the new knives

"wow thanks" he said

his brother smiled "I know it not a sword but they will do I'll have someone come by to teach you" he said putting the knives away

"what going on" Dominic asked concerned

"I have to leave the king ordered his best knights to investigate why the dragon got loose" his brother said Dominic sighed nodding. Dominic was practicing his skills when his brother started leaving

"bye Dominic" he said Dominic nodded he frowned a girl walked over to hug him

"don't worry "I'll take care of him" she said he sighed in relief then left she smirked then looked to see Dominic gone. Dominic gasped stopping when his brother left he grabbed some stuff including the knives his brother gave him and ran off

"what wrong Dominic" a man asked he shook his head the man let him in "your brother girlfriend again" he asked

Dominic nodded sitting down "is it okay if I stay here" Dominic asked

he nodded "of course your room ready" he said Dominic nodded running upstairs he sighed shaking his head then started cooking.

It wasn't until a few weeks later when the word started spreading that the knights sent to figure out what happened started disappearing Dominic was so upset about the news he was walking through the city

"Dominic" he heard then saw a wolf barking at him he looked up to see a smiling face

"AHH" he screamed tripping Alex giggled helping him up "Alex" he said surprised she nodded the wolf walked over

"uncle is here for some supplies and I stopped by your house but a mean lady said you don't live there" she said hugging the wolf

"sorry" he mumbled she hugged him then walked off he smiled then ran after her real quick

"here I almost forgot for your birthday" he said

Alex smiled opening the box "thanks Dominic" she said as her uncle yelled for her "got to go bye" she said putting the clip into her hair then ran to her uncle he smiled running home he want to know why his brother vanished,
