The practice starts and we have them run a warm up lap.
My mind swarmed in excitement.
I was so happy that everything was going so well for the kids and Carlos and Jay and Ben were returning home soon!
Everything was so perfect!
In fact, it was too perfect.
I still can't believe Sarah's a teacher!
I mean, wow. She was so different just Tyree years ago, but I changed, so I guess she can, too.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"I miss them, too."
"No. You miss Jay."
She blushes.
I laugh at her.
She hits my arm.
The girls stretch and we continue talking and monitors the girls.
They finish and line up.

C- Carlos Y- You
C- Hey, I miss you.
Y- I miss you, too.
C- How was Cheer practice?
Y- It was fun! I got a lot done with the whole team! Everything is looking great!"
C- Wonderful! That's awesome!
Y- Yeah! I plan on dropping by Evie and Doug's to see the baby and say hello.
C- Doug will definitely be happy to see his own sister.
Y- He better be.
C- I'm headed to shower and check in for the night. Last game tomorrow and then we come home for the season!
Y- I'm sad your season is over, but I get to see you again!
C- I'm glad the season is over! I'm so exhausted!
Y- You and I both know that that is not the reason.
C- Fine, I just can't wait to see you.
Y- I know.
C- Goodnight.
Y- Goodnight. Love you.
I put my phone down and lay back in my college dorm.
I live alone there.
I stare at the ceiling and sigh.
"Well, I had better get some sleep; I have classes tomorrow and then I am visiting Doug and Evie and Carlos is returning home." I whisper to myself.
"Evil still rules, ya know?"
I sit up.
"Who was that?"
A small smile swarms my room.
"Chessie!?"
"Oh, yes, darling! I am the messenger of the two worlds."
"But you're good!"
"Yes, but you're not... It's in your bl-"
"Did you not hear? I am Dopey's long lost baby girl."
"Explain the birthmark."
"Coincidence."
"You are the Queen of Hearts's daughter. She raised you!"
