We sat on our towels applying our sunscreen when a voice came over the speaker"two cabins team up for today's activity,no same gender cabins"
Fifteen minutes later we were still looking for a group to pair with.As we walked along the stretch of beach with Layla in the lead she stopped suddenly and turned to us"what about them?"She pointed to 4 guys joking around squirting sunscreen on each other.
"Yea"
"Sure"
"Why not?"came our responses all at once.
We walked over to them and as they turned towards us a pair of familiar blue eyes that belonged to Dixon and mines made 4.I groaned inwardly but before I could tell the girl I changed my mind about them the voice from the speaker informed us that if we hadn't found partners we wouldn't participate in the days activities.I had to.bite my tongue and put on.a smile as Amy introduced us and told them rather than asked them that we were apart of their team. Making our way to where everyone else was gathered I noticed for the first time that Toby was in my group he didn't seem to see me because he was picking at his fingernails for some odd reason.As I was about to walk over to him Dixon came over to me
"Elaina right?"
"Allanah actually" I say making an attempt to walk faster but he just hastens his pace too.
"How are you liking it here"
"Good but you know what would make it better?"
"If they got a vending machine and phone signal?"
"Yea that and if you just stayed 19 steps behind me at all times"
